    I agree with this. Not even those who do do things are blameless, as they have not done enough if it hasn't changed. Unfortunately, I have to say I fall in this category as well, but at least I'm accepting the blame.

    There is no "rock bottom". It's just what we tell ourselves that exists so we aren't scared of the fact that things can always get much much worse, no matter how bad they already are. This is probably made worse by the thought that we're in freefall.

    I'm pretty sure there used to be a variant of Firefox with Tor baked into it called Torpark. Not sure what happened to it though.

    On the other hand, if the courts turn a blind eye to that whole "due process" bit it may well be time to move to a country that makes to pretense of "freedom".

    And tell me, where would that be? The path we're following in the US is being taken or has been taken by other countries in the world. There's no where to run anymore.

    For that we need a populace to become well informed of what's going on. For that, we need to get information to them through the ways they get it. Oh hey, would you look at who controls the information, corporations and their buddies, the government.

    Face it. It's too late to do anything. Just try to keep your head down and survive as long as you can before they come for you.

    Aren't those in the military trained to follow orders from the government no matter what? Surely those who would refuse to raise arms against those they were ordered to kill would be few and far inbetween, and they would be executed on suspicion, right?

    Oddly enough, it seems Sony is going down this same path with the PS3 and constant re-releases of it that extract features like backwards compatibility. The PSP is suffering from re-release syndrome, but at least those actually add something to the system or make it sleeker. Anyone have any idea why Sony seems to think this is a good idea?

    The problem is, for it to have any effect, a much much larger amount of people would have to stop being apathetic all at once. In the world as it is now, this will never happen, so being apathetic or not really doesn't make a difference anyways.

    I live in the US where something like this probably already exists. At this point, I try to avoid being involved in politics, don't vote, etc, because let's face it, it doesn't do anything anywhere in the world anymore.

    Thankfully, despite all the laws being passed to restrict us, we can still go outside and do things that make us happy. I mean, we might be being watched, but if we worry and protest everything that happened, we'd be even more stressed out and it wouldn't do anything.

    My personal opinion is to not focus on that kind of stuff. When they come for me, they'll come for me. Until then, I might as well enjoy what time I have for freedoms now then waste some of that precious time on struggling.

    Anyone else feel the same way?
