To be fair David Pogue is very much a Mac person, and takes his subtle and non so subtle shots at Microsoft and things associated with them all the time, i.e. the MMS-MMS acronym he made up in the article.
It some kind of collusion between the RIAA and makers of CD racks that sit in most of our homes. Without those square plastic cases where would CaseLogic be for example? Collusion I tell ya!/Sarcasm for those who can't tell
On the PC version all you need to do is rename all those movie files in the correct directory, another reason I will never own a console. (Mods being the main reason)
Everything else is lesser than the iPod, who cares about FM Radio or Ogg Vorbis. When everyone starts calling all mp3 players, Zen's or Archos' I might care about them.
Same here on the other coast, haven't received a call trying to sell me anything since signing up. Now if politcians would stop calling I'd be a happy man.
I have a Scientific Atlanta as well and the only 2 differences I see after playing with TiVo is you can not search for a show by typing in the title and there is no thumbs up or down. I must say I love my PVR provided by Time Warner cable.

As insecure as wireless is right now I'd worry about making any sensitive calls over the network. Especially if someone markets a Skype hotspot.
