    This is not a personal attack so please don't take it as such. I understand that you want to play with the engine and stuff behind the dash board but that means you are not the target audience for iDevice products. Android is a better choice for you. My comment was aimed at the other 90% of the populations that do not want to tinker with the stuff behind the dashboard. Would you not agree that the iPad is a better choice for those who do not wish to tinker? If not please explain why.

    I think it's wise to focus purely on the specs. WARNING CAR ANALOGY: It's like having powerful car but the seat is milk crate and the steering wheel is made of unpolished metal rods welded into a square. Sure, it's fast but the ergonomics are so awful that who would really want to use it? Most of the cheaper tablets out there suffer from the same problem.

    I keep an emergency egress tool made by Benchmade in both mine and the wife's car. It has a small flashlight, seat belt cutter, and center punch for breaking windows.

    The city closest to the epic center probably only had 30 minutes between feeling the quake and the tsunami making land fall. It's very eerie to watch cars speeding away from the on coming waves, some only making it a short distance before they were swallowed up . I feel so powerless to see the destruction, as it is happening, and not being able to do anything about it.

    I wish I had some mod points for you. That is an extremely insightful point you made.

    Dan Airely's books about irrationality talk a lot about these types of responses to devastating events. Specifically that they get little action because they do not trigger our emotions to help even though they rationally should.

    I honestly don't care one way or the other regarding the Wikileaks mess, but common sense tells you that if you do something illegal (like DDoS'ing) and then brag about it that you will likely get caught.

    Maybe he thought the CIA would thank him and give him a job. ;-)

    That's not surprising. Considering all of the new media streaming apps there are it will only grow. The official Netflix streaming app alone must use a significant amount of bandwidth if used regularly.

    That will never happen. The state loves it's sales tax too much. I loved the absolutely baffled look on Christine Gregoire's face as she tried to fathom why people wouldn't "help us(the lawmakers) out" by passing new taxes.

    The funny part of it was that they tried to stick and carrot the people with removing the state property tax if the initiative passed. Thankfully people realized that they would most like end up being frogs in a pot of water getting slowly warmer.
