EA doesn't have their sh*t together on the 360 or PS3, either. Nascar 08 is a joke- I deleted the demo after less than a lap. It looks, sounds, and plays like it's five years old.
The last EA release I bought was Sim City 4, and it's looking like they're going to dumb that franchise down, too.
My Wii made an excellent Christmas gift after I realized that Mario Galaxy and Zelda were the only reasons to have one (and I had played through Zelda.)
I automatically mute every fucking commercial on television as a second nature.
Advertisers listen up; nobody gives a shit. Subliminal is the only way.
My position is due in no small part to the fact that I make no money from my copyrights.
I'm assuming that media organizations play the lead role in this consideration; it's a shame that pop music and movies have become our most valuable export.
"What will stop "them" from forcing the makers of USB turntables to install some sort of "copy protection" in the turntable itself."
This has been mentioned a few times in this thread. This idea is ridiculous in principle and application.
BTW, Slashdot contributors, Vinyl has been back for almost twenty fucking years. Get with it.
It must be too early for me.
Why would I want to let someone transfer part of a file on my system that resembles part of a completely different file that they're looking for? Maybe everyone should just transfers all of their files all the time.
That's what I thought initially, but I seriously doubt anyone who paid $399 for a console, $7 a month for Live, $40 a month for high speed, and $59 for the game is going to balk at a $10 tag on new maps for their favorite game.
What's really shocking to me, after writing the above rundown, is that I am one of those people. :|
Homebrew! Plus, that little system can run virtually ALL of your old console and arcade games. This feature alone (if you don't mind using a firmware downgrader) is worth $169.
The PSP is the most amazing portable piece of hardware that I've ever purchased (and subsequently sold.)
Problem one is the lack of new games that take advantage of the platform's strength (Infrastructure WiFi!) Ports from other platforms do not.
Problem two is the lousy analog stick.
The screen is absolutely amazing.
I'm all about photographer's rights. I am not in support of corporate rights.
Though I'd rather catch the bastard in front of my house, this may be the only recourse.
I've encountered three mbp's that whine louder the brighter the screen is set, specifically when on battery power (and apparently when both cores are running.)
Good to know that these sites have been effective; I had always been skeptical of them having any measurable effect. What's the next salvo?
"(It's not too hard to figure out where anti-islam propaganda is coming from...)" everywhere, dude. They're violent motherfuckers.

Maybe it's my hang-over, but linking to a flash embedded page (as mentioned above) and having to click again to get to the fix is annoying. /bitch

The notion of "intellectual property" is about as concrete and acknowledged around here as those of "intelligent design" and "whinny the pooh."
In all seriousness, though, it makes me sick to see international policy (or the threat thereof) being dictated solely by corporate interests.
Also, if it's "all about multiplayer" why did you get the Wii for Zelda? Caught me there. It's the best Zelda yet!
I had a Wii.. but I wanted to play more than Zelda. I sold it and bought an xbox 360, and I couldn't be happier.
It's all about multiplayer (and always has been for me.)
There's a new levels/game modes pack on Live Marketplace for anyone so inclined..
Another generation, born from fire.

Woah! I hadn't thought about Populous in decades :) Thanks for that.

Use Ghost Security's appdefend and a decent silent firewall to gain adequate security for the average graphics user.
It's 12 days of standby, e-ink screen, and charge-by-bike make up for Moto's shoddy qualiy control.
I must live on top of a rock. I don't think I know a single person who believs that we have not evolved..

and better luck next time.
