Well, it came with Media Center Edition. When they finally gave up on Dell since they weren't coming through, they contacted Microsoft to ask about getting a media kit. They were told that they'd have to buy a retail version. Problem is that there is no retail version of MCE - it's only available to OEMs...(yeah yeah, you can get a copy from Newegg if you buy a piece of hardware). Overall, the whole thing sounds like a typical Dell/MS snafu...
Well, duh! I mean, when you consider all the junk that can get loaded onto a hard disk, is it any surprise that it spins slower and slower over time? Not to mention that the monitor can get tired of having to open up all those popup so quickly. Common sense, man!
If you had actually read TFA, you'd see that they had to call Dell numerous times to even be sent an OS install disc. And even then, they were charged $11 for it. They never did get an application or driver install disc, even though they were told to expect them several times.
Someone who makes statements about cause and effect in predictive climate models should have an extensive background in applied mathematics, statistics, and climate modeling; some knowledge of ecology, biology, chemistry, and physics is also important.
You do realize that ALL OF THESE are covered quite extensively in any serious geology program, don't you? And that's just for a general degree. Specialized concentrations go much further. Of course, you're going to simply dismiss this post because, in your mind, geologists don't know anything.
Also, the OP wrote: Is that contribution significant compared to natural process? I am skeptical.
If you spoke to anyone with a good understanding of the history of the earth and it's natural processes, this is the general consensus. In the grand scheme of things, our damage is similar to what happens naturally. Should we do our best to minimize these effects in order to preserve life as it currently is on this planet, including our own? Absolutely!
Damn. Overreact much? I haven't given any indication of what my beliefs are regarding global warming, yet you obviously know exactly what my stance is. You clearly think I'm some uber-religious right-wing neo-con nutjob because of my nick...I'm so proud of you moron_666!
Good idea. And then they could also put a little wheelchair icon over the characters head. Polite people would know to take it easy on him, while the assholes would go all Yoda on his ass...
"Gosh Mr. VanCleave, all I can find in your store is really bad bands."
Actually, if you shop at the types of stores that Mr. VanCleave and his organization represent, you'll find the interesting stuff. It's the big chains (Tower, HMV, WalMart, etc - ie, the non-independent music stores) that only stock the "cess pool" crap.
As far as I care, there are three fonts: Serif, and Sans-Serif, and Fixed width.
You've just listed three font categories. These are not fonts, per se. This is akin to saying "As far as I care, there are three HTML tags: Java, CSS, and Flash."
The problem is that there aren't any devices that output 1080p. Sure, your computer can do it, but that's about it at this point. Also, the bandwidth necessary for it is higher than the HDMI spec allows. So if any boxes do ever come out that output 1080p, they'll either use parallel HDMI outputs to do it, or another HDMI spec will need to be created.

I fully support this bill, becuase I think the anal hole should be plugged as soon as possible!

Wait. I'm confused. Is this a Ford or a Dodge that you're talking about?

In fact, once people had observed they could not "approach" the lights, the physics of it should have been obvious.
Dude, these were 19th century Texans for crying out loud! You expect them to understand basic physics?

or you were being a smartass... : p
As a geologist, you aren't particularly qualified to make judgements about cause and effect in climate models.
Just curious. What sort of background exactly do you think a paleoclimatologist should have?
Good idea. And then they could also put a little wheelchair icon over the characters head. Polite people would know to take it easy on him, while the assholes would go all Yoda on his ass...
As a geologist...I suspect that there were few, if any, humans around in an industrial culture 65 million years ago.
As someone with a geology degree, I suspect that you either didn't take any paleo or biology courses...
Oh man, Stephen Colbert's gonna be pleased with this!

If GW Bush was in power in 1940 we would have been allies with Hitler and help to stop the jewish terrorists.
Of course we would have. Keep in mind that his grandfather, Prescott Bush, profited from dealings with the Nazis during WWII. Ethics? What are those? All that matters is money!
Good comment!!! Would read again!!! A++++++++++++

...but which one can you go back to and correct?
Both. Doing it to one of them is likely to get you kicked out of the library, though...
David Brent is your hero. Follow his examples for the best in motivational leadership.
Well, your car is very obviously useless and not worth the space it takes up. I'll be glad to take it off your hands for you.
You also make sure to use lots of animated gifs and those little rainbow dividers, don't you?
And here is a good little read on that Ariel/Helvetica history.
As far as I care, there are three fonts: Serif, and Sans-Serif, and Fixed width.

Oh come on. At least post your real name. You don't expect anyone here to believe that there's actually a female reading slashdot...
