    Wow, this sounds pretty interesting. I also have T-Mobile and a bluetooth phone (Motorola V330). What does T-Mobile charge for internet service? Also, does this really drain the battery on your phone?

    The reply to that is: "Hey, everybody's doing it."

    I'll draw an analogy from the world of sports. Many athletes take steroids just because "everyone else is doing it" and they think that this will just level the playing field.

    So in the business world, if you don't patent your ideas, someone else might. And then you're boned. You gotta stay ahead of the competition. So, obviously we need to fix the patent system and stop these patents in the first place.

    Meh, I think close buttons on tabs are kinda worthless. You can close a tab by just middle-clicking it.

    Show me anywhere in history that lack of freedom has corresponded to scientific achievement.

    Nazi Germany had a tremendous amount of scientific and technological achievement. Freedoms or not, war seems to be to good of a catalyst to spur advancements.

    Seems to me that as time goes on, the more quickly things change. This is true for pretty much anything, not just science and tech. Maybe you can predict what the next 5 or 10 years will be like, but I don't think you can claim that "The new century will be the century of Biology." With such a high rate of change, it's likely that there will be a radical change within the next decade. At which point, people will then make a new prediction for the rest of the century.

    Until then, we'll just continue to learn things as we become aware of them.

    Then why is violent Jihad so widespread? If it is just a few extremists, as many argue, then why does manifest itself all over the world: US, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Indonesia, Russia, Sudan, etc? Why did the Palestinian people just elect Hamas? Or, are you now going to argue that Hamas is non-violent?

    I added that last comment to avoid the response you gave, but I got it anyway.

    Clearly, it is economically infeasible to stop doing business with China. All I'm asking is, does the gov't have the power to stop someone from doing business with China, not should they.

    I'm no expert on this, but is it not true that U.S. companies are currently forbidden to do business with/in Cuba? If so, what's stopping the U.S. government from instituting the same restrictions for China? (I'm talking legally, not economically)
