LOL! when western society and all the wannabe westrners (too much of the "developing world") actually agree to a set of minimal codes of ethics environmental imperatives (e.g. if you shit in you nest enough it can kill you) and the "realities" they represent, then maybe just maybe we will get to live here for a lot longer. Firebomber are self-justified fanatics no arguement (and technically they are not fascist as that means the combination of state power and private business enforcing their will on a population) and are dead wrong. I'm no fan of PETA and other human hating slf righteous groups who think they know it all and would force their views on everyone (hmm sounds like a role model we all know and love... ) Nonetheless Western society has diplayed a profound arrogance and ignorance towards and of anything outside of its ken, it also has displayed overall such a paucity of ethical never mind moral thought not to speak of any spiritual (and i sure as hell do not mean religion) values of respect and compassion or humility. The problem with the whole "rights" conversation is that assume most arrogantly that we are correct in our views and assumption about the world and our "entitlement" sounds just like the firebombers... which should come as no suprise as they are quintessential examples of the current atitudes held by many Americans (even though they could never see the relationship to an extreme expression) and certainly by the current administration. Everything in the West now is turning into sophistry, its pathetic really. If we can't get a grip on the fact that we have no "right" to inflict ourselve and our cultural view on any living thing but have the same priviledge of life and living that life and take an ethical respossibilty for our actions we might someday be considered civilized. When ask bythe English Colonial officials what he thought of Western civilization, Gandhi reportedly replied that he thought "it would be a good idea".
Duh! WalMart's agenda is the complete sanitization and control of the marketplace and therefore of anything that get between it and said agenda it's a view so heavily invest in a very peculiar fiction that real things (whodda thunk naughty bits in movies would qualify) are dangerous. erzats all the way is the only way for them.
uhmm actually if your turn that around and apply the "what if everyone did it?" test to capitalism (the current neo-unfettered brand currently been promugated by the US and its suckup lackeys is an especially egregious example) you would find the world in a far more dire situation that the piracy model. Now that i think about it you seem to demonstrating the Stockholm syndrome in your defense of the MIAA and MPAA's rhetoric (i.e. over identification and sympathy with one's kidnappers)
Yes all teens have selfish tendencies and can be self absorb and haven't developed the capacity to evaluate consequences...
so why is it still valid to mention American kids specifically? Because the culture of entitlement has beeen taken to the highest offices of government and the corpoprate world to such an extent that beggars the imagination in comparison to the rest od the so called first world (and most of the rest of the world to!!) this give kids in American an even bigger delusional system to mimic than anywhere else so yeah the kids aren't really to blame, the whole situation is kinda fucked up...
Uhm i think you missed a few decades of history and disasterous foreign policy. The west is reaping what the greedy bastards have being sowing in our names for ages. Yes there are people out there who would do anything to destroy Amrerica and Americans and for that matter most westerners, they are direct products of western cupidity, arrogance, stupidity, and general fuckwitism (TM).The western mentality of resting on our "democratic" laurels combine with an absolute disregard for the rights of oters and the completely arrogant disregard for democraticly elect governments that disagree with current western rhetoric has done far more damage to "our way of life" than any terrorist. our credibility any goodwill and willingness to talk with us has been efectively destryoed by the realworld results of our political and economic aggendas. I don't like terrorist or fascists anymore than the next person, but unlike the next person (and the next, and the next, and the next and...) i am not going to pretend that the biggest assholes going are the U.S. and the U.K. governments and when the people of both those countries most especially the U.S. figure out that the gov ain't them and take step to remedy that problem things are only going to get worse. So i re=commend you pull your head out of you so called governments ass and look around, the rest of the world is desperate for us to do something useful.
what i want to knows is what you ring up as at the checkout stand (you know fruit, veg, or deli... maybe just condiments) and how much per pound you're going for these days?
Hmm, so forcing "agendas" is bad, and forcing your personal "agenda" i.e. "i only wanna see the world i wanna see" is just dandy (lol i'll keep the pun!)?!
Perhaps re "agendas" you should follow your own advice "ignore users that say things you don't want to hear and please don't try to force your... agenda on the rest of us. (it only needed the smallest of edits after all).
Oh btw in the interest of full(ish) disclosure i don't play WoW, am not gay, do live in the real world, don't have problems with people who do play WoW or who happened to be gay/bisexual (add any other maligned group here).
Uhmm, oxidation by any means in this case what amounts to a catalyst IS a chemical reaction the byproducts being H2O and electron's molecules created and as a bonus electricity it even fits the parent post definition of chemistry (however flawed a definition it may be...). What, were all the chemistry geeks asleep?
Ha! now all the nay sayers can just button their lips this proves once and for that/. is bleeding edge, way ahead of the curve, left the publishing industry in the dust ages a go!:)
"Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government."
Gee i don't know, the above produce an enduring myth of a hopeful return to righteousness, a transcendent goal (the Grail Quest) and some damn fine stories. In contrast we have George... lets see, what would a similar, possible legacy for the next millenium and a half look like... ah yes, it would look something like a bad prequel to the Lord of the Rings (completely unauthorized of course) "Mordor the early years" or some such.
Mod me utterly off topic roast me over cyber coals if you must but i could not let this one pass...

for the digusting details on la poutine:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poutine
And Poutine Gravy
2 tablespoons butter, with salt
1 large Spanish onion, sliced thin
1 small celery rib, chopped
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup flour
1 quart beef broth (homemade or low-salt canned)
1 cup red wine
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 teaspoons black pepper
3 whole bay leaves
Heat butter in a heavy-bottom pot and add onions and celery. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until the onions reach a dark caramel color. Be careful not to burn. Incorporate the oil and flour and blend thoroughly. Cook for 2 to 5 minutes, allowing the flour to brown lightly. Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium-low heat, partially covered for an hour or until thickened. Strain and use or store. Yields 4 cups (1 quart), for 4 servings of poutine. The gravy may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for later use.

I was confused at first why would one want to oppose anything intelligent in this day and age... then i remembered the "this day and age" bit and what "Intelligent design" means... oh boy, of course its neither but we still have to deal with it. Our language is being coopted and rendered meanlngless by this deliberate ambiguity in naming rhetoric, by the Christian rright and other hardcore revisionist intent on undermining intelligent social discourse. btw this is not an attack on religion the Chritian right has that covered imo, i know many religious and spiritual people of many backgrounds who are aghast at what is going on in the States.

uhmm Shakespeare coined over 700 of those "old sayings" & words out of whole cloth, he just stuck the damn things in there and brazened it out. The fact that many of them are still around in our language attests to his creativity and chutzpah:)
Funny last i heard Taiwan held elections that were at least as believable as the U.S. elections... and no Diebold there i believe.

In a parallel universe virtualizing Windows certainly could qualify as "devil wrestling" so i'd say the tagged is marvelously appropriate.
