Probably off-topic, but one of the best bits of U.S. television I ever saw was after the French refused to join the 'Coalition of the Willing' after 9/11 - a journalist was interviewing regular Americans about how they wanted to respond to the French. The interview was held in Battery Park (I think!) N.Y. , with the Statue of Liberty in the background.
One guy insisted that everything French be sent back or destroyed. Of course, the Statue of Liberty was a gift from the people of France! To my great regret, the journalist didn't point this fact out to the interviewee.
The slogan Leap Ahead brings to mind a frog - haven't seen the logo yet - and with Intel now going to be the new supplier to Apple, all I can think of is fairytales. Let's hope it has a happy ending!
Actually, the Boing 777 does land/take off automatically. I think this also holds true for the Airbus 300s (Correct me if I'm wrong)
Was speaking to a guy a few years ago who worked at Fokker, and in the early days the airports didn't like (or allow?) the autopilot landing the aircraft, as it always landed in the same spot - thereby rippling the runway! I assume that they've built in some 'randomness' by now?
Years ago we had this happen - a Senior Operator starting an MVS system left the date as 00/00/0000. We figured that he would have had to 'confirm' this date about 25 times.
Of course all software licenses on this system (including MVS itself) expired - took us a while to get it all back again!
This is off topic, but I figured that there would be few AJAX-experienced people reading this. I have a question regarding AJAX that I haven't been able to find a definitive answer for.
Is it possible to refresh page elements (in an iframe?) from a server-side script or even database trigger? As an example, if the database receives a new uploaded document which matches an end-users pre-defined search criteria, can this document (or at least a notification) be 'pushed' to that user without any action on their part (refresh etc)?
There's no point in identifying those students who are smart and going to change the world. Just look at Bill Gates - he dropped out of school, and look at how he's changed the wor....
Oh wait, nevermind.
IANAA (I am not an American), but didn't you guys have some kind of beef with 'Taxation without Repesentation?' Surely this is exactly what NY State is demanding?
I'm right-handed and I've got more freckles on the right side of my face - if, for whatever reason, I hold the phone to the left side of my face does the phone still work?
What about strapping lasers to their heads?
Looooosssssstttttt iiiiiiinnnnnnn Ssssspppaaacccceeeeee!
There's no need to scoop all this stuff up - it's already in a vacuum.

If #20 is true, and the Queen has never used a computer, how does she load her iPod, and given her somewhat 'proper' speech, does she call it a wePod?

Of course nobody would actually play that tone over the phone
What if Barry White makes a call - does that count as a low tone?
