Zucker should of sold FB to MS and walked away, he was stubborn in his way and allowed MS to salt its value .
Google the Gorilla has come in and will split its marketshare in half, expecting otherwise is just foolish. Everyone who uses Facebook uses Google, not everyone who uses Google uses Facebook, its a numbers game and a numbers game determines advertising budgets and advertising budgets pave these way to fat bank accounts and marketcaps.
Hate to break it too you, apple didn't invent touch screens they didn't invent phones, they didn't even invent tablets (star trek is proof of prior art).
I put a wings on a car and call it a flying car, the car was invented by someone and the plane was invented by someone else. If the guy who invented cars jumps up and down and says I stole his idea by definition I have to pay for that intellectual contribution this guy invested into my product, knowingly or unknowingly.
Apple has a lot of karma to pay - I'd say their market cap is under serious threat.... Hey wait where'd Steve go?
Some people are saying iOS 5 supports this. Frankly I stick to my original point of usability, it took them 2 entire version updates to factor this in. Though forgive me for not running out and updating my iPad 1 to iOS 5 at the risk of turning what seems a fast agile piece of technology into a snail.
As for your instructions a lot of that seems a bit complicated and evaluating outer 3rd party browsers isn't an easy usable approach like all the apple fanatics preach.
I detest fanboyisms, even on technology I personally like. This "search" feature was a big deal for me, it really let me down on my first uses of the ipad and it felt like it should of been fixed much sooner than what it was.
I could bitch and moan about my iPad all day really, though I'm posting this comment from it as we speak. Where I'm located the price of the things are nearly 1000 (usd) and it took it less than 12 months for it to be superseded. Atleast I get a few more years out of let me see... EVERY OTHER piece of hardware I own...
Yeah, you say that till you have driver issues on your band spanking new Dell running Windows Server. HockeyPuck, has a point that you should lab the performance of the box before deploying a bunch of Blades. The kind of money you have to put down for that! It's always wise to make sure they're going to work.
But who hasn't been there when you trust the vendors just a little too much, purchase a bunch of new gear and the OS and the Hardware simply doesn't mesh.
An example of the gamble you play with new tech. I've had a bunch of HP G5's and G4's running all on Debian we used the G4's as our DR. The G4's are 2 years older than the G5's but they kept running and running and running. Meanwhile 6 months into using the new kit it kept blowing harddisks left right centre. We patched the firmware on the controllers and presto all fixed - sometimes it just isn't the OS's fault either!
Moreover you know when a country is well and truly up shit creek when its population has soooo many solutions to the problem but none of them are put into actio.
The USA is getting worse and worse... Another 1500 pt loss on the Dow jones and that's it we are back to where we were in 08, the whole point of these indexes is to progress and stimulus was supposed to solve the problem but all it did was postpone it.
Forget what you kids and grand kids are going to go through, the shit fest is here and now, stop kidding yourselves USA.
Bah! Apple's first iPad releases certainly had rough edges on it. Even still suffers in some places and to say Apple got it right is certainly not my opinion.
Chromebook no nothing about it, but my issue with Google as a whole is their lack of collaborative process with their applications, you can tell even to this day that Google Analytics was built completely different to Google Docs ad that Google Maps and Google Docs are not built the same way and that Google Mail and Google Maps is not built in the same way.
Google as a whole needs a complete rewrite, having said that the job to do so would be so big no one team would know where to start.
Stupid idea, the iOS concept though offers the germ free environment and safe computing your stuck in a position whereby 1 only 1 germ is needed to destroy the whole deck of cards. "Hacking" becomes more about who gets paid to accidentally leave the door open, extorted, family threatened, whatever and BAM! The whole ship sinks.
Computing needs regulation, enforce a regulatory system like what doctors / lawyers have and the things like being hacked because you didn't equip the network with a firewall gets treated as negligent practice. I say chuck the wannabe geek in gaol along side the script kiddie that got in! Our infrastructure is run by far too many lazy ass marsh mellows, and for any of these people who are in IT positions who see these articles and get angry, you're angry cause you're scared it will happen to you... So you should be, next budget cycle order a pen test FFS!
I have an Incredible S and it's battery life absolutely kills over my old iPhone 3GS. Further, its power saving mode once hits 10% the phone can last for a full day no problems. Not sure if the S at the end makes a difference, but if you battery life on it is bad, I'd get it checked.
My sentiments on the HTC Incredible truly an AWESOME phone.
As much as i'll be slapped down for saying it Apple is behind the curve on this one. With Google / MS Cloud, even Ubuntu has its own cloud solution. Repositories designed to deal with Storage and Applications is already here. Apple gets news attention over it but really offers far less then whats already out there as it renders the YOUR data to be "stuck" in application land.
Dell on the other hand is probably doing what it always does. Offer a rebranded product under their own title. Security vendors such as Trend are getting behind the 8ball on this and offering products like SecureCloud and with certainty if your not using iCloud within a few years cloud "bolt ons" will simply be an extension of your AV.
Apple's mistake on this one is security by restriction. They are balking at what secure elements are being implemented and they are restricting data availability, if these cloud companies (not just Apple) don't offer effective Data Escrow solutions its widespread adoption is going to be tough.
What no repet jokes, 6th day violation?
None of this really matters.
Zucker should of sold FB to MS and walked away, he was stubborn in his way and allowed MS to salt its value .

FB estimated value just slumped.

Nah, you know whats happening here.
HP drops its tables as it may pose a conflict of interest with potential partners.
Steve Jobs steps down as CEO and Tim Cook, ex HP CEO steps in position.
A Apple + HP merger is in the pipeline!
We need an identity service on the net ... However
a) Google shouldn't be allowed to run it.
b) Each country / state, etc has its own rules about what data people can and cannot see.
Though I've always said anyone who can pull off a successful Identity Service platform will become rich overnight.
Looks like Google became the self appointed internet police! Next I'll need my drivers licence scanned into my G+ to view porn!

This has to be the one feature I wish the iPad would add, a freaking "find" feature.
You know they praise the iPad for all it's wonder and a simple usability flaw such as this is still prevalent.
I think someone should point out clear the difference between the term "Blocking" and the term "Unable to render".

Outcome 8: Holobands are the next in thing. We create a race of AI beings which then wipe us out
My favorite of them all ... /topic #l33t Press Alt + F4 for Ops.

I don't know whats worse. Microsoft's propaganda machine or Apple's "sweep it under the carpet" regime.
switch to openbsd :)
Yeah, talk about feeding the beast.
Galaxy Tab is sooo good even Apple's tried to stop its release!

No COD 4 which is like 3 years old is available, no other versions http://store.apple.com/us/search?find=Call+of+Duty&mco=MTA4MTkyMjY
COD is the one of the worlds most popular games out there and Apple is 3 years behind, that's the point I'm making.
Point taken, maybe not China's style. IF anything China's main focus is on commercial gain via legitimate markets, illegitimately.
That or China. My money is on China.

You forgot to mention that without Apple the growth of the turtleneck sweater industry wouldn't be where it is today!

Hate to be captain obvious on this one http://www.apple.com/icloud/what-is.html.
I foresee Apple's attempt at hitting the collaborative email market about as successful as Apple attempt at hitting the games market ...

Look Call of Duty has been released! No wait ...

This whole APPP thing is like something from a Douglas Adams book!
