So instead of paying to be legal, you tell us to pay to use a service (newsgroups/vpn/seedbox) that can still allow you to be flagged criminal? I though the main goal of piracy was not to pay at all. Honestly, I currently don't pay because for now no service can be as good as a bittorrent download, but if it was available I wouldn't mind to pay, and I would prefer to pay the content creator than some shady internet service.
How can they know if you pirate or not? Monitor your bandwidth? Isn't that the thing we wanted to prevent when we voted against SOPA in the first place?
With every articles here of Valve turning to Linux some ans fanboy who think OpenGL is better the general opinion switched and Microsoft got brainwashed too. That's sad because DirectX is one of the very best work of technology that exist currently.
Yeah Valve was respectable when it was a game developer company, doing great campaign of single player action games. Then they moved to online matches, then they moved to a online store and now they want to go in the hardware business. GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS!
I bought a laptop with the exact same specs and price last year. 1080p screen and a keyboard included!
They don't mention if it's a touchscreen, that would be the only advantage.
Clueless people everywhere, especially in comments. Nostalgic gamers who whine games didn't evolve better than their golden years but never tried any recently. Other nerds who think Linux or Valve will save the day, or that Microsoft "abandoned" pc games. Honestly, stop whining. We have VERY good hardware, accessible at low prices. Windows + DirectX is the highest-end solution up to now and work perfectly and there's has been over 50 very good title released this year.
Stupid question. Any recent monitor will do great. Of course, more resolution is better, but the typical 1080p monitor is perfect.
Seriously
If it didn't pass for the telephone, why should it exist for Internet?
I flashed hundreds of BIOS in my lifetime, never once had this broke something.
This is the equivalent of saying to buy a smartphone for gaming. You want real gaming? Buy a DirectX11 video card and play real games.
Yeah, isn't that really, really bad for the users? Why do Americans let this pass? They aren't inspecting phone lines or putting GPS on our cars.
If Netflix ever allow for downloading I will gladly stop pirating to use it.

MMORPGs players are picky about graphics? Everyone I know put the graphics at minimum to prevent loading lag.
Amazing native image is useless when streamed with compression to 60% of the quality.
It kinda make sense that DirectX is Windows only. And It's much more advanced than OpenGL in my opinion. You are clearly talking out of your ass.

They created an open source modification of a game, which can be compiled for any architecture, not just one platform.
Come play our 3 games supported!
The worst part about this is that they will spy your internet usage to find out about it.
Because streaming quality is lower than 1080p h264. Why pay for less?
I agree with you, but at least BitTorrent had one thing right. No tons of fake and dead files unlike the one previously mentioned.

Same thing here

AAA games still are the way to go. Why aim for less?

You speak without knowledge
Steambox is aiming for lower-quality than the current high-end PC, so no.
