    How about if the car lets me drive and lets me decide whether I want it to keep me from doing dangerous things (tailgating, backing into objects, changing lanes into other cars, ramming the car in front of me while I adjust the radio, etc.).

    A car analogy might be useful here. I've never heard somebody called an "illegal driver". I've heard of unlicensed drivers, uninsured drivers, intoxicated drivers, etc. even though those people are breaking the law, they're not called "illegal".

    If the angle is just right, it skip off the atmosphere like a stone skipping on the surface of a pond. Too low, and the atmosphere would slow it down and it would break up into lots of little pieces and burn up..

    Common wisdom is that people with ADD and ADHD can't pay attention, but this isn't true. We pay attention to things we find rewarding (which generally does not include things that their teachers and parents want them to pay attention to).

    The solution is helping people with ADD/ADHD find rewards where they might not have found them on their own.
