Would you like to see a half-million-dollar TV show in which four teams of indie developers and Youtube personalities compete to create amazing videogames?
I'd rather play the game they made as a finished product instead.
That was a good book. I remember getting it at Barnes and Noble back in 1996. Back then AP computer science was taught in Pascal. But his book was in C so I couldn't use any of the code samples. But it was pretty easy to convert to Pascal. Made a rudimentary asteroids game in 320x240 VGA (with page flipping! Although I felt his way of loading VGA latches and then writing was too complicated so I just drew to a memory buffer and copied to alternating video pages with vsync) with prerendered graphics. It was absolutely awesome. And then I accidentally deleted my hard driveâ¦
No need for a $500 computer when a $100 computer will suffice. Sure, it' refurbished, but it has a Core 2 Duo with Windows 7 on it. For basic tasks, almost any computer from the Core2/Phenom era is sufficient.
Or Frank the pharmacist? These two professions are dominated by women. Perhaps we should make boys more interested in those professions as well somehow.
I bought two copies for $15 each back when it first came out (promotion lasted for 6 months, was considering buying more just in case). Went from Windows 7 Home permium to Windows 8 Pro. Wasn't too bad of a purchase: 1) it's faster in games, 2) it comes with Hyper-V, 3) non-English language support (especially Chinese and Japanese) is much better than Windows 7. So what about Metro? What Metro? I have Classic Shell installed so I never see it.
Easy enough. Get any recent phone that's supported by Cyanogenmod. Install Cyanogenmod. Then install Debian (or similar). This can be accomplished as a dual boot or as a chroot inside Android. I have Debian installed on my phone; it's kind of fun to dabble with and show people.
If only Congress allowed the F-22 to be purchased by allies. Even a watered down F-22 for other countries would be better than what we have now: an overbudget F-35 program and other countries buying opposing aircraft.
Here you go. Ok, maybe you have to compile it yourself, but since you're on thia site, you should know how to do that with both hands tied behind your back.
I like Windows 8, and it's better with Classic Shell. But your issues with Windows 8 don't really belong here since Windows 8 came out in August, 2012. Of course back then I upgraded from Windows 7 Home premium to Windows 8 Professional for $15 for each of my two computers. I wouldn't have liked it as much if I had to pay more.
It doesn't hurt that it's pretty trivial to put Ubuntu on these things. I have a Samsung Chromebook with the dual-core Cortex A-15 processor, and I put Ubuntu 12.04 on it. All the things I can't do i ChromeOS (image editing, etc.) I do in Ubuntu.

It's not the size, it's how you use it!
It's all about truthiness.

Looks like Android = Linux to me.

This already happened in the GP's post! Progressive Insurance decided not to build in Cleveland city proper.
That's how gentrification starts.
Their headquarters are in the UK, ergo they're British.
They probably because they don't want to pay Google.
Yes. I use those plus Spanish on a regular basis.
I don't see the source code for Aqua or iTunes anywhere in that link.

Sudden death is usually due to heart attacks. Being obese doesn't help with this matter.
Oh, so we're now down to this entire list of browsers (minus Opera)?

He can't even get rid of dupes and have proper grammar and spelling in story summaries. What makes us think that he'll actually do any better?

Hopefully it works out at least as well as the $1 billion they spent on Linux. Maybe they'll have more graffiti this time too.
Twister, the not so intersting story of some researchers and a tornado. You can't fool me again!

er, I meant $500/year. When she sold the property, the new owner paid significantly more than that (starts at 1%/year).
