Which is the reason we'll probably never see the completion of Freespace. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/107649-Volition-Wed-Commit-Murder-for-Freespace-3
The space sim is a really hard sell (unless it's that one mission from Halo: Reach) and frankly, even with a joystick, games of this sort can be notoriously difficult. Companies only really want to make games that are like other games or sequels to previous ones since it's more of a business now than a genuine love for games (unless you're "indie").
It won't do anything. All the next law in regulating (or not) the internet has to say is to null out the previous law somewhere in it and suddenly it's ineffectual.
Waltzed in, admired all the terrible science on the walls (including humans with dinosaurs), laughed a bit, got my ballot, filled it out, threw it into the scanning machine and realized it's only 7:12AM (Polls opened at 6AM).
So yeah. It was probably the only time I'll ever get to admire (in a sarcastic sense) the nonsense peddled about this sort of thing without being kicked out for blashphemy.
Says it releases at 11:15PM tonight in NYC, so it's not quite out yet.
Me personally? I am converting two machines from Vista to 8. I couldn't justify the price of $400 for upgrades (Two copies at $200 each for OEM) to 7 for the rigs, but when I heard about the $40 upgrade path I was a bit giddy for getting rid of Vista. In hindsight Vista isn't bad, but it's being abandoned in the dust in favor of 7. So yeah. One laptop with minimum requirements and one four year old desktop are getting some new paint tonight.
The last comment about knocking out WP8 does seem like it would come dangerously close to violating the Sherman Anti-Trust act. Granted, HTC and Droid all exist, but it still doesn't sound like it would end well.
Looks like they couldn't stay in video games for long. I wonder if there's an XBL/SEN equivilant where online passes can be bought in the event of a used texbook.
Computer related items would be better served if we had more info, so here's a few suggestions otherwise. Have your dad (or you) monitor his credit reports to keep an eye out for new accounts that open and charges to his credit card/bank accounts/etcetera. If you feel that something might have been opened against his will, make sure he gets his credit frozen (How to) and closes the affected account if there is one. I've never taken stock in monitoring services personally, but this may not be a bad situation to hire one.
Also watch his mail for anything that looks suspicious, such as credit card informationals. The worst thing that can happen is somebody running up a criminal record using his info. It's not common and somewhat hard to pull off, but it could be painful.
The Consumerist (liked above) also has tons of other info you can use about this stuff.
In the future, there is only war. Take away the awesome Space Marines and even the Imperial Guard and you get the most depressing warmachine ever concieved to fiction. 1,000 Psykers sacrificed every day to keep the Emperor "alive", weapons cannot be made anymore, engineering has been replaced by religious rites and invention is all but gone in religion to the Emperor. That's real depressing.
Valve has already done with with the Razer Hydra. This is likely an expansion on that idea.

So, this could be anything like that. I doubt a console is in the works.
the USPS must be getting for this!
Aside, printing and signing canned letters is about as effectual in real life as having a gay relationship in an video game.
...and the banks are walking? Seriously. Priorities people!

..get one of the most awesome products of chemistry ever? I wonder what a chemist would get? Maybe the most awesome product of biology ever?

I know you guys hate Windows, but come on. The emulator app is free, this one isn't hard.
What? Is that not enough of an incentive? If it goes into the air, you cannot sell it or make money off it.
Said by the scientists after they blow it up with the laser.
Just a suggestion! Would keep with the progression.
Though, you're going to have to finish Episode 3 first.

Dis-Kinect the Kinect.
But in all seriousness, doesn't the Kinect only ID two persons at once?
Only took you 16 hours to post the same submission twice. http://news.slashdot.org/story/12/10/31/178256/windows-browser-ballot-glitch-cost-firefox-6-9-million-downloads

Some time ago a study came out that compared religious feelings to a strong love of Apple products. How do you feel about this and these people?
Maybe I'm not reading this right, but wouldn't this present huge fire hazards because it's essentially wood?

Now he wants them in the air. I can't help but think Governor Ultrasound here is just some pervy wanker.
Is it 2012 or a different date?
