Is this the Iraqis fault for defending THEIR homeland against invading foreigners
I personally hate this arguement, since in they are not attacking invading forces, they are attacking occupying forces. Not only that but they are also attacking the Iraqi miltary, not only the US forces. Now if I thought the US wanted to stay there, or if I they were only hitting American targets, or if they put up resistence in the initial invasion then I would give a lot more credit to your sentiment.
I've heard stories of handing out candy to Iraqi children... then getting shot. It happened to my cousins platoon. They also got a suicide bomber while handing out soccer balls (the soccer ball one was real sad, one soldier actively handing them out died along with about a dozen civilians just trying to get a soccer ball). One of my good friends just got back without an eardrum, and the only stories I've heard from him are of roadside bombings and snipers. He had a few stories of detaining some people, but nothing he described sounded like anything I would call torture or abuse. From the handful of people I know that have gone to Iraq I've heard of two cases I could call abuse, no murders of civilians (besides those hit by suicide bombers) and no torture (but I also don't know anyone working/has worked as a prison guard or anything like that).
Oh the recognize it. They just want to abolish it (they have a little bit of a point, as that phrase is never in the constitution and their are different interpretations of the amendments, but while they have a point I think it is still very wrong).
Computer does not equal internet access, and even when it does it does not mean fast internet. I am amazed by how many of my friends still have dial-up. I am even more amazed at my friends with crazy gaming rigs they take to LANs, video iPods, and still only have dial up at home. I know a couple of the people are because of lack of infrastructure (no cable, and no DSL capable lines) but I think most are just cheap.
Ahh, I thought this was a reference to the slaughtering of Amalek (1 Samuel 15) where Saul they were ordered to slaughter everything, but Saul left the king alive along with the good animals. Because Saul disobeyed God removed him from kingship, and Samuel rebuked him pretty harshly.
although ISTR that on one occasion he relented a little and allowed the Israeli troops to take some of the young women of the cities they were destroying for themselves. For the Lord is a merciful god
You have your story mixed up a little. God told the Israelites to go annihilate a city (as in men, women, animals, anything that moves, some things that don't move, etc). The Israelites then decided that it was a waste to kill everything, and thought they should take back some wives, slaves, cattle, and other assorted wealth. Then God condemned them for disobeying him.
I checked the official website (www.thinkfun.com), and even linked to it in an earlier post. There are four sample levels on the website, and no links to other online games. Just incase you missed the link the first time http://www.thinkfun.com/RUSHHOUR.ASPX?PageNo=RUSHH OUR
Just because there are many does not make it right. If you would look into the history of Tetris http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetris#History_and_le gal_issues the creator of the game got screwed over pretty bad multiple times, it was ILLEGALLY copied against his will, just like this Traffic Jam game illegally copies Thinkfun's Rush Hour. Remember how there used to an online RISK that used Google Maps, but was promptly shut down by Parker Brothers? You can't just copy games without licencing it from the company.
If you crink an entire gallon of it. There is a reason you spit it out when your finished rinsing (killing all of the bacteria in the stomach is also not a great thing, some of those are very helpful).
This is not Apple bashing, I am a huge Apple fan so concerned to see what side of the fence the fall on. I am wanting to know on future Macs if Apple will support Bluray, if they will pass on it, or if they will be shut out from it. I personally hope the choose to go with HD-DVD since I think it is the lesser of the two evils, and I brought up Microsoft since Microsoft has thrown its support to HD-DVD. But I think it could be very harmful to Apple if they are on the wrong side of the fence.
I noticed all the listed companies are Wintel outfits. As such will Apple cave into this too? Might Apple and Microsoft team up to support HD-DVD instead? If Apple and Microsoft team up does that mean I can expect snowball fights in hell?
Ahh, I guess that makes sense, every time I've used the emergency room it was in cases where we couldn't stop bleeding or in one case a friend having a seizure. For everything else (broken bones, wounds, etc.) I've always used the front door.
It's just as strange for someone in the UK to hear that you might be asked to pay in advance for emergency hospital treatment as for an American to hear that you need to pay a tax on televisions
I've never heard of emergency treatement requiring payment in advance. In my experiance it isn't until after treatement that they start talking about payment (for any planned visits everything is always paid in advance though).
What bible are you reading? I did a glance through the Torah and a search through the King James version of the Old Testement and I could find no such thing. Please back that up with what book it is in, and please also include the chapter and verse number. Thanks.
I'm sorry if I came off as questioning evolution. I don't question adaptation, shared ancestry, or survival of the fittest. But I do have a problem with what seems to be jumps to conclusions that aren't neccicarily the simplest hypothesis. And I am in political science, so as for me being a scientist yes and no;).
Doesn't that just mean it follows the laws of life on Earth? Don't we share the same genetic material as most animals? Doesn't every chemical have to obey the laws of biochemistry? And I think morphology aids my point (see analogous structures). I just don't think it's great to jump to the conclusion that this is a homologous structure, especially since sharks aren't mammals.
"Evolutionists" don't have an agenda, unless you count science as an "agenda."
I'm going to have to disagree slightly here. There are evolutionists, and they do have an agenda. There are also scientists, most of whom believe in evolution. I think the line can be drawn when people make statements as facts, like in GP pointed out that the author of the summary did, instead of stating the simplest hypotheses which has not been disproved by any observational evidence. Since we use these same mechanics for drastically different purposes might it not be a better hypotheses that different species use the same mechanisms due to the unique properties rather than assume a shared ancestor?
Does StarOffice even offer anything that OpenOffice doesn't?
I know star office has at least a better spellcheck and a tech support line. They also have some migration tools that I don't think are included in OpenOffice, in addition to better MS document compatibility and conversion. Also is the mail merge in OpenOffice yet? I know that is new in the newest star office. I personally don't see this happening as long as StarOffice is making money. Why close down a stream of income?

Yeah, I meant it to be more of a funny comment. I wasn't serious.
But what gays have ever seriously advocated forcing their "lifestyle" on others?
I've heard the Federal Prison System is filled with them. Also see Pulp Fiction http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110912/ and Deliverance http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068473/

SSE3 chips work MUCH better. I am concidering buying one for my main PC for only this reason (OS-X running smoother).

First one to compile Gentoo before they die loses.

Of course they left that out, as flux capacitors never work reliably and DeLorean's are almost impossible to find now days.
