I'm sure the good folks at wikipedia realized that this wouldn't thwart the CoS from editing articles about themselves. I'd imagine that what they really wanted to do was make a point, send a message.
I've been using my 360 in the same room as my laptop for well over a year, and not once has a wireless controller or my wireless headset caused any trouble with my wireless network. Of course, YMMV but I think this is all a bunch of FUD.

There is only one carrier here that is GSM, all the others are CDMA. I live in Canada.
