    If sex is the only outcome that matter, then better advice would be to just go pay a prostitute for some. It also gets rid of any obligation to good or talented at sex - they'll tell you exactly what you want to hear.

    You can do the same thing using just fingertips. Simply touch two fingers simultaneously and gradually increase the distance between them until the subject reports that they can feel two fingers, instead of one.

    Doing this on someone's back will give a distance of probably 10cm or so.

    (Well, I would guess, they sell the seasons 5 to 10 still for broadcast in other countries, but six years delay is IMHO too much.)
    That's exactly the reason. They still need to sell the show for broadcast in other countries, but these won't be bought for as high as price if the residents of that country are able to buy the show on DVD.

    Some atheists forget that can never possible to prove the null hypothesis (that there is no god), only that the null hypothesis is false (god exists). So only in the absence of such proof, do we accept that the null hypothesis is true.

    climateprediction.net are doing a really good job of modelling climate change, and are getting lots more data all the time (due to their distributed computing project). Check out the Results and Climate Science sections (although I couldn't find anything about adherence to historical temperature changes in the 5 minutes I spent flicking through).

    The BBC ran a programme in January using some of their data.

    Your example shows how quickly nature can recover from damage, given the chance. Laws were passed when (clearly) there was more to know about ecosystem recovery. They didn't wait until they could accurately forecast the 20 year recovery time, so why does that point to delaying making laws to regulate Climate Change and CO2 emissions?
