    It's a pity the Christians killed off all the Gnostics they seemed to have a more interesting and realistic view of God, a blind, callous or even evil being who created the world in his image. They thought that outside of the scope of this God was an all powerful being of love.

    A robot who vacuums the floors will still need a vacuum cleaner. If you could make a robotic vacuum cleaner as small as a regular vacuum then it would make sense.

    you could make it greener: take out a processor and three hard drives. Shouldn't affect performance for a firewall, might even reduce noise levels to a more pleasant level...

    Replacing your perfectly good car with a greener car is obviously not going to work out in terms of saving carbon emissions, given the amount of energy it takes to make a car. But (1) Good used cars are not thrown out, but reused and (2) you were going to buy a car anyway, so make it a green one...

    Biodegradable implies biological action in the degradation process. So yes, everything degrades over time, but no, not everything is biodegradable.

    As for trees? Do you still think we live in the days of lopping rainforests? Majority of cardboard and paper are harvested from tree FARMS! Fast growing ones designed for making paper

    Only in parts of the world where we've already chopped down all the readily available trees.

    2. MRTA (Peru)
    3. Revolutionary Vanguard (Brazil)
    4. Malayan Races Liberation Army (Malaysia)

    I'm sure there are more out there...

    Although, to be fair, putting an apostrophe to denote the possessive of "it" is an understandable mistake - given that about 99% of all nouns are handled in this way:

    Tim: Tim's
    The cat... : The cat's...

    Why shouldn't its, his, hers be written: it's, her's, and I guess his would become: he's or hi's? Adding apostrophes to plurals is the real faux pas.

    Open Access files? There are heaps of "better than Access" database tools you can use in Mac OS X, but when you have to integrate with the drones that insist on Access it would be nice to have it on OS X.

    Visual Basic (VB) and Basic are completely different languages. VB is object oriented, has memory management and uses code block type structures, rather than line numbers. In fact I don't see a real difference* between VB .Net and C# .Net. I often just refer to both languages as the same thing: .Net.

    I can't see python or perl becoming a standard in windows, no matter how much I'd like to see it, although I agree with you it would be fantastic to see.

    If anything killing VB 6 was the first nail in the coffin for Vista.


    * One difference: C# has the "super extra spicy just like C -only crunchy danger mode" that people generally don't use
