I like how by the end of the commercial, the family living room perplexingly includes a construction worker and a pilot. Did they receive some telepathic signal, "Get to the Jones' house posthaste! Atari has arrived and only the chosen few can experience Its glory." Bizarre.
If you really want to scar yourself for life, try seeking to about the 0:24 mark in the commercial, at the very end when the Atari logo pops onto the screen. The squeals of delight rapidly change into cries of horror, as if Atari morphed into some otherworldy being of terror, consuming their souls as they watched helplessly. Sorta like the end sequence in Raiders of the Lost Ark, minus the melty faces.
In light of the CPU thermal grease fiasco, Apple went the other way and failed to apply enough lubricant to the hamster wheel. Slap a little oil on there and she'll be right as rain.
RPGs have always been better sellers than other titles because there is a strong market for them.
Apparently you slept through 1995-1997. Yes, some gems came out in that period (Diablo), but the CRPG market was pretty dead until Fallout and Baldur's Gate arrived in late 1997-1998.
I thought most executives of gambling sites lived outside of the U.S. to avoid this very problem. If his company was taking in billions, there's no reason why he couldn't afford a nice estate in the Caymans.
What about running the boxes as Linux native and providing Windows support via some virtualization software (i.e. VMWare). It's not like these people are gaming, so performance shouldn't be too much of an issue. As long as windows is confined to its little sandbox, the only reinstall needed is a simple rollback to the original Windows image.
forget about the thousands dying in the middle east or the north korean bombs. mp3s, now that is issue that must be dealt with forthwith. my neighbors dog keeps barking all night too, maybe that can tackle that one too.
The G8 is an *economic* summit. They don't directly dictate political or military policy. Granted, mp3 "piracy" isn't a pressing issue when compared to 3rd World debt or China's artifical monetary valuation, but it's at least relevant.
As TFA mentioned, this has the potential of becoming another Sega Saturn boondoggle. Will the developers learn how to fully utilize this incredibly complex architecture? Relying on the "octopiler" to efficiently map to the Cell architecture seems a bit optimistic and naive.
is it better to send rockets at Spain than Morocco? I hope it's not because you think Morocco is filled with radical muslims who would see such rockets as an attack from the evil west...
I don't think the grandparent was saying that an uncontrolled giant rocket launch on Morocco is a bad thing because "Morocco is filled with radical muslims." Rather, the GP was saying any nation on the receiving end of giant uncontrolled rockets is a bad thing. Morocco was used as an example due to its latitude on the other side of the Atlantic.
In other news, ranchers in Texas complain about finding an increased amount of cameras falling from space in their fields.
FYI, the camera landed in the water. Unless Texas has a disproportionate number of hydroponic ranches, I don't think NASA will be fielding too many of these complaints.
Yeah we pay it back in the bulk ethanol tax though, 100% import tarrif on comercial grade ethanol. 'Gee, it's too expensive to import ethanol, and we don't grow enough corn to produce enough, guess we'll have to use gasoline.'
Thank ADM and the powerful farm lobby for that insanity.
Why not plot the "impairment factor" against blood alcohol level and compare that to cell phone usage? Find the "blood alcohol equivalent" of cell phone usage. And then compare to other distracting activities like eating, talking, radio usage, beating an unruly child, etc.
I have a feeling impairment due to alcohol consumption goes up significantly once the blood alcohol level goes beyond 0.08. Don't forget, not too long ago 0.08 was legal in most states. It's not like "drunk driving" is some magic switch triggered by that 3rd drink.
And what does being a sex offender have to do with anything?
It's called ad hominem. The fact that he is a sex offender has nothing to do with the argument unless a) he was living in his car and didn't notify the neighborhood homeless or b) he was squatting within X feet of a school or public park (or where ever else the local jurisdiction prevents sex offender from hanging around). None of this information was present in TFA.
Will the public remember John Madden in 2016? Are you sure they won't change the name of that series? I'm sure there will be football, but "madden", not so sure.
Of course the public will remember John Madden in 2016. He's not going anywhere. It will take much longer than 10 years for him to complete his metamorphosis into Jabba the Hut.

Badger badger badger badger...
Will he look like Brendan Fraser?
Sounds like you need a +2 Rusty Coathanger. Okay, that seals it. I'm officially going to hell.

Apple is an x86 vendor now. /pedant

That's because the PS3 won't be available until 2010! Although it wouldn't supprise me to see the Wii take the lead eventually.

Did they also fix the part of the privacy policy to say: "AT&T (a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Security Agency)"
US Marshall: "Dude! You're going to Guantánamo!"
I think your sarcasm detector is broken. If you bought the Craftsman model, return it to your nearest Sears retailer for a free replacement.
Ugh, have you seen GNOME? That beast could certainly use a women's touch.
Are you being incredulous, ironic, or incredibly stupid?
Touche.

Damn, I though the title said 'Cheaperphone'. You know, the cheap minimalist phone service without all the extra crap that I don't use/want/need?
