LOL. Good one. Much to my parents chagrin, I am my own thinker. I had what I considered "good" professors and then I had others that used their posistion to force feed their political and cultural agendas. I would put those in the "bad" category. It was a life lesson for me, as I thought I was paying the money to further my education - not paying to be brainwashed into some half assed ideology by some nitwit who happend to make tenure. Now, I would agree that if this guy is going to out "radicals", to be unbiased he would have to point them out on both extremes, be that ultra-liberal, ultra-conservative or whatever. Unfortunate for him, I seriously doubt he's going to find a lot of radical conservatives in the halls of education. So in reality, any radical he finds will be of the liberal sort and therefore his objective will never be seen as anything but biased.

Ok, the guy doesn't like some of these "radical" professors and wants to call them out. Show them for what they are, I guess. What's wrong with that? If they are anything like some of the Bozo's I had, I say more power to him. It's a semi-free country. Before someone flames, let me ask this question. Your political views......Do they belong to you because of you, or because some professor taught them to you?

"Apple has already stated they didn't do anything to prevent people from booting windows".

I think the key words in that statement are "didn't" and "prevent". I keep seeing people saying this, but in my mind, it doesn't mean they *enabled* anyone to do so either.

The MacNN forums have a thread by a guy with a new MacIntel machine. I don't know how hard the guy is trying, but he tried to load various Linux distro's and Windows XP from his and didn't get very far.

Vista might load, but XP doesn't do EFI. Hacks, workarounds, etc. might be forthcoming, but right now.....It ain't happening from reports around the web.

It's a pretty well known fact in the weather world. Hmmm. Could it be there is a link? LOL

We checked Ebay today at work for Xbox 360's. When they seem to be going for upwards of $1700, I bet we'll see a few more. Most were in the $1000 range, but some were asking $1700 at the top end. As far as the lawsuit.....it's bullshit. Courts shouldn't even review these cases especially when, from what I understand, there is already info in the manual telling folks not to place them on the carpet. Last time I checked, companies didn't put such warnings or information in their user manuals to fill up pages and increase their printing cost.

I don't see anything wrong with what Google is doing. 24. Re:What if MS makes Windows Incompatible w/ Apple on Apple Files Patent for "Tamper-Resistant Code" · · Score: 1

I doubt that would happen. If anything, MS would make it MORE compatible with OS X. After all, MS is after global domination, and for the most part...has achieved it. Apple has always relied on the sect that just wouldn't do "windows". On the other hand, what does apple have to gain by doing this? Could it be that they KNOW people would jump to OS X and just use windows just for games? (which I suspect alot of linux folks do already - I know I did). It would also let them compete on an equal footing (somewhat), IF their business apps were superior to MS products. Pro's: They sell more hardware. More people start using OS X. Con's: Everyone switches to windows (unlikely). Obviously, there are alot of ways to look at this, but in my opinion, Apple has been making some very good calls in the last few years.
