If you think that google is not doing a good enough job of providing your the most relevent results, you are free to go where ever else you want. You are also free to build your own search engine that will give you "relevent" results for yourself. I just dont get the "entitlement" that you think that you have on something you have not build, not paid for and are not forced to use. It's their castle and hence their rules - if you dont like it, get out and never come back.
The real question here is, how long will it be before the brain adapts to this trickery? Not like we eat less of "large" food like popcorns, we just eat a bucket full of them.
I don't know, but PDF is the most horrible format for eBook. The biggest problem for me is that it does not flow at all nor does it allow any changes. OPS/OPF based eboks are a lot better when used on eBook readers.
But then it is just me...
Not true.
Firefox has this feature implemented, and turned off for all sites by default. If you want, you can go and edit the user.js file manually and allow the copy/paste feature.
Which earth you are living on Buddy? We do have world police. And not just that we do have them, they have also learned to abuse their power. Look around. And as a Tip, looking outside of your own home country will help.
It is not correct that you cannot negotiate with nations who has not much interest in yours. Its a lie. What is correct is that you cannot make a nation do what you want when they have no interest in yours. I think you are confusing between "Negotiation" and "Compliance". With force you are not buying anything but the power to make others comply with your orders.
And Please do not talk about other countries. I trust no country with Nukes. None. Not even my own.
This also shows the real meaning of CTB. It is not designed to rid our planet of Nukes, but to make sure that the muscle countries can keep having them and stop others from developing it. It does not even stop a country from developing it, it just bans testing them. Which in effect means that the countries who have already had good experience with using them can keep improving them in their labs using simulations and such, while the first timer can never step into the field. Such a facinating piece of work.
Please come out of your pit. Look around. Things are not what they are shown to you.
Well caffeine can easily hit 99.9999.... But the worst part is nicotine an easily reach 66.66666 . . . (just a guess... and I am proudly doing my part..)
Well... This just proves that good does not always wins against bad. I am always for a pro-active solution to problem, and Blue Security had that kind of approach. Though I never used it, I am all up for it. And to tell you the truth, if I was a member and got a few more spams due to that, I would not mind a bit. Hell, getting a couple more emails in a sea of spam wont make a difference.
I wish they would have stayed their ground, maybe loosing some of their userbase. If they could have just got through this hard time....
Here is my 2 cents..
First of all deciding what kernel is better technically has nothing to do with its popularity. [ Windows anyone ??? ]. The question is What is actually better given the current hardware standards.
This argument is going on for ever, and maybe monolithic won the argument 10 year ago - But that does not definately mean that those argument stands today the same way it did then. Computer Science, both hardware and software has come a long way since then. Maybe this is a good time that Andy has decided to start this up again. Not that anything is majorly wrong with linux kernel right now and its in best shape it has ever been in, but I think this is a good time to for linux buffs to compare their whole ideology to a competing one. Not with a view to achieve a grass root level change in the kernel, but as a excersie of self examination. See whats going wrong, and if there is something that is going wrong try and solve it. It would be very foolish to ignore any opposing aruguments and stick to good old dogma.
I personally took a class for both Minix and Linux (Kernel programming), so I have come to appreciate both of them. And when i read arguments, both side seems right. I hope this is the hint..

Do Kids Still Program?

Necessity is the mother of invention. But I guess this days there is not much of necessity left.
I started programming, coz the 2 game floppies that came with my BBC gave up after couple of months. So in a way unreliability of the old 5 and 1/2 floppies got me started. That was my way of solving problem. My niece has discovered her way of solving problems - but sadly thats not programming. Thats too much that is required to solve her problem [imagine recreating something like Age of Empires], and there is too little time she actually has after TV, Games, Chat, Internet, and TV. The only possible solution for her is to just use whats available. And if its not available [or she does not know of the availability], she will just think of it as something the computer cannot do. She just aint got no time or intention to be creative.
Are we doing something wrong ??? Are we not providing our next generation with enough challanges ??? Is life too easy for them [well at least easier then it should be] ??? This are some answers that we all need to ask ourselves.
This is all great. What I would really like to see is, these artists stands up for this when they are at the negotiation table with the recording companies for their next album. Lets see how much of their dislike for DRM remains on their pay day.
Lets see them walk their talk.
WHAT ??

Hush... My partner will kill me if she realize that what she does for me is in fact "outsourcing"....
