Use a game trading site. I've tried a couple, and the best by far IMO, is Goozex.com
You send out games you don't want and accumulate points depending on their MARKET value (not rape-me-in-the-ass trade in value @ gamestop), and use those earned points to request games that you want, (which are also worth market value). The currency isn't $$, it's goozex points.
You pay shipping (usually $2/game) when you SEND games to other people, and it costs $1 when you REQUEST a game you want. Great way to get rid of stuff you haven't played in years, and you save a ton of cash to boot. Plus no middle man bending you over.
I was talking about the hassle of opening up your $300 apple tv and writing scripts. Not everyone feels comfortable prying open their expensive toys (I guess/. isn't the right place to make that assumption).
As for conversion times, yes it would take awhile, for me it's worth the disk space that using.h264 gives you. I have a mac mini (1.66ghz) - the slowest mac currently available. Visual hub converted a 1GB xvid file in around 5 hours or so. Much faster than exporting with Quicktime and if you have a MBP or a Mac Pro, it'll chew through your video collection in no time. IMO, it's not much of a hassle since visualhub is a 'set it and forget' kind of app. Also, converting vids to.mp4 file with Visualhub, or it's free cousin iSquint ensures that you can view them on your iPod, which you cannot do with an xvid file. But to each their own I guess......
Instead of going through all that hassell, you could just use Visualhub http://www.techspansion.com/visualhub/.com/ to convert it to an.h264 file that would be of equal or greater quality while keeping the file size the same or lower depending on the settings you use. The downside - it's OS X only, but it's the best $23 I ever spent.
If you have a 4:3 tv, you'll also need component inputs. I'm not a big tv person, so I don't know if newer 4:3 TV sets have component inputs, but I know older ones (i.e. - mine) certainly do not.
This might be the excuse I need to get that 1080p 42" westinghouse that I've been salivating over.
it's also a British network of television stations.

Besides that, when Jobs debuted the product, he said that "iTV" was only a developmental code name until they released it.
.....The other possibility is, life can exist in high amounts of radiation, but it might not be life as we know it. I've always been curious about other kinds of life. With all the complexity that exists, it seems naive to think that DNA is the only kind of self replicating molecule in the universe......
Other than politics and human complacency, there's no reason why other nations can't come together with the US to help should the cost, or at least help out and/or build their own technology to help detect earth-destroying asteroids. What's the point of saving $1 billion from the budget if we're all dead?
Dawkins also compared a child's propensity to believe whatever it's parents tell it to computers and computer viruses. This may be over simplified for the/. crowd or cause disagreement, but he said that computers follow every instruction they are given whether it is good or bad - it has to, otherwise it wouldn't be a very useful computer. It makes them by design, susceptible to computer viruses in the same way that a child's mind is by design, susceptible to the 'virus' of religion. Just another interesting analogy from Dawkins book.
"It speaks to some basic human needs, that there is a tomorrow - it's not all going to be over in a big flash and a bomb, that the human race is improving, that we have things to be proud of as humans. No, ancient astronauts did not build the pyramids - human beings built them because they're clever and they work hard. And 'Star Trek' is about those things." ~Gene Roddenberry
People often make the incorrect assumption that people in the past were somehow not as intelligent as present day people, so we concoct these crazy conclusions that aliens built the pyramids and stone henge. Seriously, if we ever are able to travel to other planets that are inhabited with intelligent life, would we build shit and then leave without a trace?
And hey, maybe a pad you can put on the ground! I'll make a game called track n field. It'll be great......That reminds me of an old idea I once had. It was a "Jump to Conclusions" mat. You see, it would be this mat that you would put on the floor... and would have different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO
It's only a matter of time before they pin original sin on women cause of Eve's apple eating incident. Oh Damn..... Catholic Church beat me to the AGAIN! Somebody call Kansas before they find out about the monkeys.
Legally purchased CD's do not come with lyrics embedded into music files. Nor do they have artist/title/genre information from grace note (I think that's what it's called) that iTunes looks up for you when you rip CD's. Obvoiusly, most CD's come with a booklet that has the lyrics printed, but who the hell would ever take the time to scan them in and/or type them into a text file?? Using a program that makes finding information that already exists easier shouldn't be illegal, espcially when if that information pertains to something you purchased legally.
IMO, it's almost like saying that having a program that pulls the screenplay (or the subtitles for that matter) from various sites and attatches it to your legally ripped DVDs is illegal.
Man, I need this deal, do you have a link? Dell's website pisses me off, and I lose patience with it very qucikly. BTW, what kind of Mobo does the PC come with? Does it have an AGP slot or PCI-X?
"I would DEFINATELY download TV episodes and movies for $1.99 ANYDAY...."
I would DEFINATELY download TV episodes and movies that are much better resolution (better than ITMS's standard of 320x240) AND in formats other than ITMS's.H264 and MPEG-4 ANYDAY.... the catch is they would be for free;)

Oh come on... Why keep the pretence of spelling your nick "keesh", when it's really spelled quiche?
There's women ALL over internet, it's just that they all live inside the porn sites that the men visit.
