Maybe ironic, but no suprise here. Academia is 90% politics. Politicking by scientists is a disease run rampant. My quantum mechanics lecture was editorially spiced with political statements. I've had peer reviews come back stating: "Well I did not understand the article, but I have the utmost respect for *famous scientist on the author list* so it should be published." I cancel subscriptions to monthly and weekly scientific rags regularly because of politically charged articles. Politics uttered by scientists has no more merit than politics uttered by insane vagrants. Except the scientists shout it with less aplomb.
About the bark park, your dog would not have had it any other way.
Don't worry because:
1. Even though you may point to a risky behavior, this does not imply a cause - effect relationship. Many cancer causing agents will always abound in our environment.
2. I'd choose bark park with a 3/4 life span vs. no fun for a long time and all the other dogs I know agree.
3. A good chunk of the dog population gets the shaft, stuck on a chain, or in a cage and possibly gassed in their prime.
It must be something if it's got Microsoft on the run.
Image Magick tools run fine under windows in a pinch.
Nice summary.
The existence of dark matter is proven only to be a very nice way to invoke feelings of mystery in the hearts of grant application reviewers.
Chances are if the news is out there already, then the discussions are over. Probably MS and RHAT did not come to an agreement.
So you still bought the product. The product being hot air, the currency is your time.

Finally, slashdot has moved it's focus into an arena more in line with its true colors - the absurd.

It would be additive on one side and opposite on the other.
Thus adding another element of intrigue to the canyon jump.
I'd keep quiet, I heard their going to point it at naysayers.
Judging from the artists conception, Evil Knievel plans to use it to complete the elusive canyon jump.
If it's invisible .and. radio controlled, then how do you fly it?

The bigger problem here is finding computing power to track the states of a system larger than a few molecules.

I wonder if we'll see them in yard sales throughout the Southern States.
you just can'st slow things down, baby..."
"...with all those eyes, they're crowdin up my human face

A free program called Space.app ran on 10.2. My addiction to multiple desktops runs deep. It worked flawlessly until I upgraded to 10.4.
