Sure, then how about making it so everyone has to wear a helmet when walking near a street. This mere inconvenience for a large amount of people will undoubtedly save the lives of many pedestrians.
Giving games to a hospital is a bad idea. It ultimately rests on the principle that the hospitals need games more than equipment or additional staff. I am sure some hospitals do, but it takes away the hospitals power to choose what resources they most need and spend donations accordingly.
Yes, but how difficult is it to make a controller strap that doesn't break? The fact that the have already amended it is a concession to its faulty design.
Also the existence of the strap reassures the users that they can go nuts and not worry about the grip. I wonder how many TVs would be broken if the strap didn't exist at all and players were wise to the risk.
Hey I love Nintendo and all, but they did stuff up here.
So why not invest a couple of extra bucks and partner up with Nintendo so their living room device plays Gamecube and Revolution games?
For the same reason that Nintendo don't release Nintendo franchise games to non-Nintendo consoles. Exclusivity drives people to buy Nintendo consoles, which they actually make money off as well as the games. In addition they also lose brand recognition as the Nintendo console is no longer seen as a magical wonderful box but as something easily emulated. And lastly, what happens if Apple take all the Nintendo consoles sales? They are suddenly essentially relegated to a software vendor despite all their investments in producing and marketing a console.
it's hard to defend the game, not because it might be a pubic nuisance or a danger to kids, but because it could have been so much more of a scathing critique of high school social politics than it turned out to be
Games are about fun. Since when do they have to worry about including a social message?
Take Mario for example. Bowser is attempting to institute a tyrannical rule over the Mushroom Kingdom. This is fertile ground for a scathing critique of invasion and dictatorships, but that would make a really boring game. What's fun is establishing, yes these are bad guys and then beating the shit out of them:)
So it is frustrating when Nintendo designs a controller that is so obviously ambidextrous, and the software developers ignore it and build everything right handed anyway.
What do you suggest then for Link? Make it no handed?
He has to hold the sword in one hand and a game designer would be remiss not to take this into account when designing the levels.
So really IE can hang themselves if they want, it's not up to their idiots users, it's up to the web developers. And the web developers are telling MS to fuck off.
This couldn't be further from the truth. Do web developers decided what browsers a web site supports? No, the paying clients do and from their perspective it would be exceedingly stupid to not support the browser that holds 90% of the market.
How about, they live in the US but don't speak English well?
I have seen a lot of abuse in WoW purely on the fact that a player doesn't speak English. I consider this racism.
And what is the point of abusing, swearing and spitting on them? They won't understand most of it anyway and its not like its going to be enough to discourage them from it.

Agreed, I experience deja vu as feeling like I have been in the same (or a similiar) situation before. For me it has nothing to do with sight.

I very much agree with you, but as an exception check out Contra: Shattered Soldier - PS2.

And do you think a player playing an intense duel is going to drink or eat?
