Mandrake was my distro of choice before seeing the Light and converting to Debian, and I remember that it was a great distribution... but somewhere they lost the path and starting falling to the ground: the LG drives fiasco, the name change, the bloat, the battle with Ubuntu for the easy-to-use-linux crown...
Maybe Gael has now the oportunity to create from zero a great new distribution without the inherents problems of Mandrake/Mandriva!
Maybe almost everybody in the US who could be interested in having an access to the net does have it already, so is logic to think that the percentage of internet users in the US will rise with the time, but slower every year.
It's a pity the real poor coverage KOffice gets in the web compared to OpenOffice, being a really cool suite with great programs. It deserves a lot of respect what are they doing.
If you're into music playlists webs you really have to check Pandora, a great page that creates playlists based on genetic algorithms that relate an entire collection of songs to the one you describe as your favourite.
I believe the mobile market is about to explode, if it hasn't done it yet, and Pentium M's laptops are an overhelming majority over the AMD's powered (Turion?). And now here are the Yonah... AMD has a long road to be the king of the hill.

Why would the British be off the Flynn's Effect? It's hardly a problem of TV influence, as it seems to be as bad as every other parts of the world.
Looks to me just like a sensational header to claim for attention.

Some commenters have said that, althought every Google is working on is labelled as Beta, all of them seem to be very polished and ready.
They must have forgotten that little cache app fiasco, the web browsing accelerator that was so crappy it had to be removed from the public access.
Not because is by Google it has to be good by definition.
