Hang on to that fantasy. It's happening. In my consulting work it comes up constantly. I haven't been in an organization, even security focused ones, in over 4 years that not exploring the idea. Many are actively moving forward. I.T. will be changing to deal with it.
You said "The debt is due to military spending on wars". That is what I specifically refuted. You will get no argument from me that military spending should not be reduced. However, if we cut it in half and then kept it flat for the next 20 years we would still go broke based on the current trajectory of non-discretionary spending. Military spending is a problem but is far from THE problem.
The wars have so far cost about 2.3 trillion. That is not even close to the amount of our debt. To say the wars are the cause of our debt is political wishful thinking.
Anybody have an explanation about how this is different than what LLDB and LLVM can do? You can debug running code and modify the executable on the fly already.
If your still running Netware then you may have a point. If your running Novell OES (Open Enterprise Server), then your running a nice modern Linux with some some great services on top of it.
RSA was just an example. Each vendor has their own version.
DHCP with addresses pre-assigned based on MAC address are used on the management network. Each of the multiple DCs is staffed only with hardware monkeys. Because of security requirements no one with administrative access can even enter a DC. So once the hardware is racked and powered on it could be accessed and configured. We don't do it that way though. We have orchestration software that does all the configuration dynamically. It's completely pushbutton.
It's not the energy of the round that counts, it's the energy actually spent destructively on the target. The formula for maximum destruction in this case is to have the maximum kinetic energy energy delivered to the smallest area with high efficiency. So, you don't want a 20 gauge slug. It's easily deformed, has a large impact area, and unless you have the drive held very securely would just knock it downrange. I'd use a small caliber, high speed rifle cartridge. 7mm mag or even.223 would do nicely!
It gives you a virtual serial console and much more. Simple serial port access is handy but the x86 vendors aren't so stupid that they make you attach physical keyboards or even KVM concentrators. I've worked in environments where dozens of xSeries servers are provisioned daily without a single keyboard or monitor anywhere in the datacenter.
Who in the US will decapitate you because your not a Muslim? The Taliban position is that not only is this acceptable, it is the appropriate action. A delayed package hardly seems morally equivalent.
Actually it's the Jews who are chosen by God. The majority of Christians believe that their saved because they chose to follow Jesus of their own free will. There are some denominations that believe in predestination but they are the minority.
Exactly right! That is the solution. To be able to do what you like you need $99/yr and enough knowledge to run Xcode. I think it's a pretty good solution.
GOOD!! If the program needs to maintain or increase then our representatives need to actively decide to increase funding. Funding should NOT be automatic.
The Geneva convention only applies to the self identified, uniformed, soldiers of States that are party to the convention. It has nothing to do with someone who does not wear a uniform or carry an ID card.
No, taxes are necessary but they are still taken by force. The threat of force was there regardless of your acceptance of the bill. That force can be abused. Thus we need to take steps to prevent the abuse of the individual by the majority. Read the link, study Bastiat. It's not a black and white issue. But there is a point where taxation becomes theft. Too many people fail to acknowledge that.
I've heard of a few doing it with pure open source but most of the ones I know who are windows server free are running Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES). It has a feature called Domain Services for Windows that emulates a DC. http://www.novell.com/products/openenterpriseserver/features/domain-services-windows.html OES is a set of services that run on top of Linux.
Well said. The idea that you can't get ahead in the US is crazy. I left home with a 15 year old pickup and and an empty wallet. I am now a millionaire and I did it with 30 years of working hard and always trying to help others succeed. It can be done.

So, just as an example, the IBM x3750 M4 doesn't exist? It has 32 cores and can go up to 1.5TB of RAM. It is less than $50K.

Oh, the Apache was on OS X. Yes, that is painful if you use the OS X default locations.
SSH to a web server is agonizing? It must suck to be you.
BTW, PHP is there by default. No need for fink.

And your answer is?? An economy planned by some privileged elite or academics?

Your absolutely wrong and generous people are always available. Tax's are evil because they are taken by force.

They don't own SUSE but they do distribute SUSE licenses and support with their products.
Almost forgot, for OS X and iOs device mgt you can also use http://www.apple.com/support/osxserver/profilemanager/ which can be integrated with AD.

While your there check out http://www.novell.com/products/total-endpoint-management-suite/ it does far more than you can do with GPO.

You can use GPO in a very limited way without any add-ons but you should take a look at this: http://www.centrify.com/directcontrol/group-policy-for-mac-os-x-desktops.asp
Yes, it does. Google OTHB. There are many others. I know since I used to maintain them.
