Why did it stop at all? Firefox 1.0 is a different version from 1.5. It's the same complaint people have against Microsoft that they don't support their previous version which is still being widely used.
This weekend I tried to put Ubuntu on a computer with a 3com 905B ethernet. It didn't detect it properly even though the card is a decade old. Maybe because it's not PnP? And to make things worse, even the CD from shipit right away needs about 30MB or more of critcal or important updates. On dialup that level of downloading is not really possible for experimentation purposes. At least on Windows I knew how to download the update files from the Windows Update catalogue. I'm not sure there's an Ubuntu equivalent.
"Maybe this will cause the community to complain about ICANN and the American control of the internet?"
Is the US the only country that can compell ICANN to modify the DNS record list? Can't a judge in the UK overturn the US judge's ruling and compell ICANN to reinstate the address? If not, that's insane that US law is the end all of Internet law.
In my area of Canada with cities of about.3Mil the murders make the top story as they probably should. And the typically weak sentence for the murderer too.
I'd guess they find the same results studying workplace smokers. If they have a group to smoke with, and the boss or someone in power smokes, I'd guess they earn more. If they smoke alone, I'd say they probably earn less on average too.
I'd have given it to the person who invented the cell phone ring tone that only kids can hear. Due to frequency types that most adults lose the ability to hear, only children know if their cell phone is ringing. It's supposedly quite useful in the classroom.
In fact there may be so little there, that there isn't an underground water supply to sustain a human civilization. There are reasons people tend to live next to rivers, and oceans. They need something to pee into.
It doesn't matter if the BBC content isn't made to be backed up, once you upgrade to 11, I doubt you can backtrack to 10 for the rest of your DRM content you may have purchased. Thus they only need to get one killer ap to require WMP11 and they hook you into their [evil] scheme.
First of all if Vista is even out by their predicted date I'll be surprised. But then what makes them think they'll trick 200 Million people into "upgrading" from XP Home or Media Center, when most peoples' PCs are already adaquate for the tasks they are doing. Are people really going to be such raging computer whores to buy that much Vista Microsoft DRM junk in such a short time period? I mean it's not exactly the leap from 2000 to XP even.
It would probably be possible to distinguish between users, depending on the part of the link they click. Top, bottom, left, right, edge, center. Something must be fairly common.
I can't wait until television companies start requiring people to install WMP11 to watch their content. WMP11 has a horrendous licensing agreement when it comes to DRM infected downloads and your inability to back them up.
As the co-chair of the Mercury Coalition with Stephen Colbert, I second your project. We must remember that mercury is delicious, and lithium tasty to all ocean life.
I can't shout at the airport about the stupid policy that takes your water away. So I wrote my Member of Parliament, and the Transport Minister of Canada instead. My MP responded, but so far nothing from the Minister. I asked what is he going to do about the stupid policy.
When asking a primary source for information, I find that telling them I'm doing so to create a report on my blog tends to make them clam up, or continue to be unwilling to provide information that ought to be publicly available. What technique or phrases should I use to convince the interviewee that I both have a legitimate use for their information, and right to obtain it.
Wouldn't it be a hoot if the RIAA secretly hired someone to get sued, then fight the lawsuit, then lose because the defendant's case was fixed to be very bad? That would make a decent MPAA movie years later.
It's my Grandma too I'm thinking of. Having a treatment for a seemingly preventable form of blindness would be a big breakthrough.
I tried sending ***** and it went through. So did 12345.
I hope this can help people with macular degeneration of their eyes.
And as I read elsewhere last night - don't invest in the gauze bandage industry now.

I'd guess I can hear it too, as I can sense when a TV is on, without being able to see the screen/light/speaker from it.

And if a US judge can order the domain removed, can't a UK judge order the domain reinstated? DNS tug of war.

I guess the child never walked through a hotel lobby or bus depot with an arcade gun game too.
I suspect Yahoo sent me a fake message, because I got an email from a member who didn't respond in any way after I signed up to reply.

"Draw you own conclusions from there..."
You're using logic, while security software marketers are using damage control.

Since this is Slashdot, we'll have to assume you're living at home with your mother who does your laundry still.

Big deal, people have been cooking on the manifold of combustion engines for years now.
