I got a big AOL CD box today in the mail. It was much larger than the flismy little cardboard things we used to get. It might be because they bundled McAfee with it...
It is so large, I can't even use it as a coaster. Well, I could, but it wouldn't go very well with my AOL 95 or whatever coasters.
I found GTA3 to be fun for about 2 hours, then I got really bored by it. Vice City was better, but I never finished that one either. San Andreas is the only game where I felt the missions were varied enough and the characters were unique enough for me to want to finish the game.
They did have a test server, but SOE never listened to the people on it. They never listened to the people in the forums, they never listened to people in the normal game servers.
Every other major MMO has a decent bug catching rate, and some of them do have public test servers (WoW does, I think CoH might but I'm not sure). SOE just is a shitty company. Pure and simple.
You pretty much proved my point. As I said, it takes time. Some people don't watn to spend that much time to get into the meat of the game. That's fine.
And I agree with you, mining is boring as hell.
No problem. Just remember to do the tutorial. It takes a while (and I mean a while...it took me like 3 hours to it), but it explains pretty much everything you need to know to get started.
Plus, if you don't do it, and you ask for help, you won't be very well recieved.
You can grab it here. The client is free, and if you want to continue it is $30 (american) for a "real" key (30 free days), and something like 13 or 14 bucks a month after that (standard MMO fare)
I don't think it will. EVE takes a lot of patience, preparation, and time (not necessarily in-game time, just time to build skills up), whereas the more popular games with the annoying communities (CS, WoW) are pretty much "pick up and play" type games. They have their rewards mostly at the beginning of the games, and as you continue playing them you start running out of new options and your fun decreases. What I've found with EVE is that the more I play, the more fun I have, because there are actually MORE things to do.
The people who make up the majority of the community are people who stay with the game. There may be a few hundred accounts or so that are 14-day trial people that act like they are still in WoW, but the majority of the gamers will be players who have been playing the game for a while. It just happens that those people tend to be less annoying and "OMG I PWNED J00 N00BZ0RZ LOLOLOLOL."
I'm actually playing BK right now! For the 100th time...
Collecting everything in BK seemed easier to me than Mario 64. I never did get all 120 stars in that, and then I lost the game and never replaced it (as well as a few other favorites such as Goldeneye and Donkey Kong Country 1).
Don't even get me started on the contractors working on the second death star, not to mention the adminstration staff on the first death star. Probably just some guys thinking they had a cushy government job watching the clock and filing paperwork for prisoner transfers to cellblock 1138. Hell, even the stormtroopers were probably guys who just graduated highschool, and needed money to go to college and see the galaxy.
They canned BattleBots but brought over Robot Wars from Britain or somefuckingplace. At least, the announcer has a brittish accent. It is pretty much the same, except they have some more traps and ref bots and stuff.
It was cool...7 years ago. Now it is dated and boring, and the expansion is a horrid piece of crap. I should know, because I played it all of 2 days. Therefore, I am acutely aware of all the inner workings of the game. By magic.
Magically.
In all seriousness, pick up WoW or EVE or a hammer and smash your face in before going to EQ one or two.

Halo 2's singleplayer mode really sucks, but the multiplayer is pretty fun. Its no DoD:S, but it is about as fun as RtCW's lan games were.

And you are a valuable part of our community and your faction/corp's war efforts, and I commend you.
:p
But that doesn't change the fact that I think mining is boring

They meant on one server. WoW may have a MUCH larger population, but not nearly that many people can play on one server at a time.

Don't forget Windows ME
The Biggest Loser is pretty good, except they all cry too much.
how much more will this cost?
I thought the benefits of using Helium-3 was mobile suits and beam weapons...
look like UO's "3D" upgrade's graphics. Honestly, if they had a free trial I would play it.
Dimonds...she'll pretty much have to
Everybody says this. Everybody on this site says it, and every gaming rag likes to say it anytime they say anything about marketing.

I love how this is modded Informative.
Earthbound is better by leaps and bounds, IMO.

Have you not seen Clerks?

Am I the only person in the world who actually likes mowing the lawn?

You mean except for the Mysterio parts? Worst. Level Design. Ever.
