when you had to switch off write-protection on your new software before installing it, because it would write over itself to prevent multiple installs? So if anything happened to the first install, you had to re-buy the program. They havent' managed that with CDs yet.
It's not circulation that is most expensive at newspapers. It is staffing. The subscription price neatly covers the paper, ink, and distribution, but it is the paid PRINT advertising which pays the reporters, editors, etc.
Do the Legos cause smart kids, or do only smart kids like Lego? It's hard to say. I do think it's interesting that many people build elaborate houses of Lego (me) or working cars (my brothers) but it seems that fewer people build both.
I actually kept a broken APC under my desk for several years (not plugged into anything) for that exact reason. Actually, your whole post could've been written by me.
Whatever you do, don't read the info on Morgellon's syndrome, as it's another disease for which most people display the symptoms.
Actually it's not recognized as a disease at all, as the people who have it can't agree on the symptoms. They claim to have fibres and sometimes small living creatures coming from lesions on their skin. Sometimes the living creatures are able to shape-shift into demons. I'm not making this up.
They constantly pick at their skin lesions to pull out the fibers, and then surprisingly, the lesions never heal.
A lot of the sufferers turn out to be hypochondriacs, OCD sufferers, meth addicts, or generally insane.
He'll be the dumbest for 6 more, sadly.
Pete actually did very well for a Democrat in Utah. My husband and I were glad to have someone on the ticket that we felt good about voting for.
My sig is relavent to your post.:) The more laws you pass, the more people are criminals, the more power you have. You can choose not to use it, but the moment you need to arrest someone and "disappear" them, you can. It's to the point now where I can't even tell you if I've broken one of the myriad federal laws out there.
He didn't say that poor / black / college people don't vote correctly, he said that they tend to vote Democrat (backed up by stats) and mysteriously, their ballots tend to be thrown away as "spoiled" far more than other demographics. In other words, it is not HIM that says they can't vote correctly, it is whomever is taking out the "spoiled" ballots, many of which aren't.
And if you're in Utah's 2nd, please vote for Bob Brister.
He has many of the same views as your Bob Bowman. He supports familial unions for all people, ending the drug war, instant-runoff voting, getting out of Iraq, etc.
Not currently exercising much, but I am nursing a baby - that's supposedly good for about 800 calories a day.
On occasion I would set up a tupperware of salad, all layered, and just shake it up for lunch. I suppose I mostly need to put the effort into bringing things in the morning, you know?
Just curious, what do you do for work food? I'm about 50/50 on my eating habits now - half is organic baby greens and thai stir fry and organic whole grain rice and nectarine-tomato-onion homemade salsa - and the other half is birthday cake and crap from the snack drawer at work. I'm terrible at bringing things to eat and also don't want to eat anything that will sit on my breath all day. We don't usually have leftovers either as my husband is one of those people who will eat ALL of whatever I make, no matter how much "all" is.
We do our best to avoid HFCS and Trans Fats and it's amazing how difficult that can be. We've only found one brand of bread that doesn't contain HFCS. Most salad dressings are full of it. We've yet to find ketchup without HFCS.
They didn't put this crap in food at all 30 years ago - and you saw much less Type II diabetes.
but look who was in power 1000 years ago. You think their descendents are still in power?
According to this article they are not only still in power, but occupying pretty much every position in society, class-wise. Which just goes to prove your point.
Cutting out the largest sources isn't always the place to focus your efforts - allow me to draw a really bad analogy here:
Analyzing your budget, you decide you need to cut back. While it appears that cutting the $700 mortgage would be the best way to save money, in actuality you're better off cutting out the $19.99 Netflix subscription to movies you never watch.
If that makes any sense, you'll know what I mean - while cutting the largest consumer of power or money may *seem* like the best place to start, it's often a necessary function which just cannot be cut. However, cutting back on unnecessary waste, even if it's a mere 4%, can be a great investment of effort.
It has taken science 77 years just to prove that breast really isn't best (it's just equal).
That was a poor example, and a false one to boot. What we have is ONE recent study which says that breastmilk does not contribute to a significantly higher IQ. It is well proven that breastmilk DOES contribute to healthy immune and digestive systems. Anyway, this recent study - which does not corroborate with previous breastmilk-intelligence studies - means little anyway, as IQ is a poor measure of overall intelligence. Even the recent study found that breastfed babies were smarter - but it wasn't necessarily the breastmilk that was the cause. Breastmilk was actually another symptom - as it turned out that intelligent, educated mothers tended to breastfeed more often.

Sadly there's already a ton of this on YouTUBE, and money isn't even involved yet.
I think the problem here is that you're talking about the awesome wooden playgrounds designed by Leathers & Associates, but he's talking about the crappy "Big Toy" playgrounds which completely sucked.

The Linus Write-top was a beige laptop which used handwriting recognition. It's essentially a very large precursor to the Palm Pilot. My dad has one.

This time with link... It comes down to the machines. Just as poor people get the crap schools and crap hospitals, they get the crap voting machines.

At all.

For your amusement, what some Republicans *really* think of blacks.
Yes, this ad really runs on radio.

That does it - I think we're having soup tonight, as that all sounded too delicious! Thanks for the ideas!

Just FYI, European soft drinks aren't usually made with HFCS. It's mostly used in the US thanks to our own sugar tariffs and corn subsidies. US sweetener consumption by year.
