I bought starcraft and broodwar expansion cd 3 times because one time i played for 2yrs and quit and gave it away and came back playing it for another year, year later and because i was seriously getting addicted, once again i threw it away and onl six month later i've done it again. and now finally i am free of starcraft for at least 3yrs on my computer. what i wanna say is that here is that you should look at how other countries are doing first before you get all insightful +5. In S.Korea it is getting close to $9 a gallon in some places and this winter it will surely pass $10 if oil rises at the speed of rising cost now. In fact, that has made my family to sell one of our cars and just run 1 car. I go to work by using public transportation such as subway, bus. spending an hour is a very happy person. (who is me and so lucky). those who lives in suburb and it will take them about 2 hours to get to work in the city. I've done that once to attend 10 week seminar. and well that subway-bus trip cost me $4 and that is not a problem. Time is money. I rather want that 2 hours for/. or doing something more useful.
I believe that in the close future, US will change to form mega cities to overcome the cost of oil. For example, Korea is very urbanized, meaning that people live heavily in and around the big cities forming megacities, especially around Seoul and Busan. it is about 22M in Seoul's metro area. which is about half the poeple in the entire Korea. To me i don't even own the car. I won't get one until i get a real job. I am only a student working part time and i am never gonna make up the cost of running a car. I assume it's $6000 a year including everything around maintaining the car and me. If i make $10000 a year, spending $6000 to drive to work doesn't even worth running a car. but it probably worth having one if i make $50K+/yr and especially when i get married and have a family. But the irony is that car is such a good representation of a person in Korea so streets are packed with 2M of cars each day in Seoul. My dad bought oil chugging supersized sedan few years ago despite his shop not doing so well and oil price rising.
Well in exception to Old people in Korea, i believe that people in Korea with high population density didn't change in their lifestyle of getting to work. But the rise in oil price staggers the economy so that people go out less because they have less money to spend. so in the end people stay home more and go out less around the globe as oil price rises. What will Korean govnt do about oil price is that when it passes $200 a barrel, it will cut down tax on oil, which is over $2 a gallon. by the way we go by the liter .

why does interstate travel require a visa? I fly from the States to Korea fairly often and this works each time i do it. There are 14 hours differences from States to Korea. It seems to work on both ways i fly.
1. Before you fly: get less than usual amount of sleep. Eat normally, go to gym live normal.
2. During the flight: Take a short nap as if you would do on the day you had little sleep. and get busy doing what you do: work, read, eat whatever.
3. After the flight: Don't get to bed until it is your usual bed time no matter how tired you are. Eat, meet people, exercise as if you have been at the destination for awhile. Get up on time next day.
Who says it should be global? As information given in the wikipage, the satellites are on the geostationary orbit. can't we have networks of different positioning system? such as global cell phone networks, satellite Tvs, phones, internet that we have today? if geostationary satellites can provide better and more focused service in that region why not use more of them to improve precision? and why don't we have GPS towers like cell phone towers that we have? why not integrate GPS capability into those cell towers? perhaps radio towers? and electric grids? In crowded cities, it might worth a lot. haven't we all cruise through lakes and across buildings? and get lost on that same block over and over? and wouldn't it be far from now to actually get to use new GPS technologies? it is always military who gets it first until much better one comes out?

I do have a religion. But i did not have any religious implications. I just said about what i believe. Laws and punishments doesn't prevent crime nor truely punish one. I want more freedom. Freedom requires responsibility. But as i said everyone mistakes everyday. Not to be punished is more freedom, not to be judged is more freedom. For instance, it is as simple as to drive at 40mph at 25mph zone. no one want to be punished for that. ok, i pay the fine and move on with my life. yes i am obedient. but see, the law and punishment has nothing to do here. and it applies to basically everything.
There are inexcusable crimes such as murder, rape, beatings, etc. Laws don't prevent one from these things from happening in the first place nor turn back what has happened. what can you do about it? Will jailing criminals cure the wounds and bring back the soul to the dead body? (of course, jailing one is fine)

I believe that only God, someone almighty, can judge one and punish one's sin. Law does not stop any crime to happen. It only serves to protect victim. People make mistakes. Everyone does. It is going back to "eye for eye" logic. it doesn't work. People were never so naive and obedient. People just started to express more open-minded and honest. People just need to realize that only solution is to seek the truth and be modest at best. I believe that this is the only solution and it is too bad that people doesn't buy that anymore.
Here in Seoul, Korea, gas price is over $7 a gallon now. and part of that price is tax. tax is about $3 per gallon. and it has risen as the gas price rose to depress gas consumption which did not work. no matter how cheap the gas is i don't care. industry will keep on ripping us out for profit and government will keep taxing whatever goes into the engine. I am sure gas price won't change much even if one can produce it like bottle water. think about it. what an excellent way to tax. what an comodity to squeeze profit out of everyone.
