There is no need for: Retaining an atmosphere Heating/Cooling Recyling water (or even bringing water in the first place) I get your point but few things are necessary on unmanned ships. Many equipments require proper heating and cooling. water is excellent source of coolant and also used in heating. In this process water is often recycled so it doesn't have to carry more unecessarilly.

I am not from China, but i am from the region, so i wanna say what i have in mind. I do not think that this correctly reflects how Chinese generally think about Tibet. I don't even think it is done by regular people, rather planned by gov'nt. even if it is true, understandable to do so, it is done that way because of they are ignorant, patriotic. I am no more ignorant than they are in general, so i am not trying to be elitist for living in the states. but they are ignorant about their own country and about the world and where they are now. I rather feel strong apathy. i am happy to be living in the free world because of my own rights to not be "ignorant". One may be more "free" in 3rd world country if you have money than in the 1st world. This only reflects that Chinese are just ignorant and has openess in their attitude. Personally i have met friends who came from China and people close to me went long term missions trip to China, so i know that not every chinese people are this ignorant and apathetic. The people who wrote this article should not have shown only the biased side of them, should have balanced both side of the opinion even if one side is minority. How apathetic are we? comes to think, to accuse China for Tibet, yet 1st world nations commit something aweful everyday, and all of us commit sins everyday how do i have right to judge another and accuse another?

This doesn't seem like a attempt to revive local economy by discouraging such purchases from other states. Why are they doing this?

Japanese are actually fighting back claiming that they had it all along. but who cares? everybody knows this came from Korea. what do you think of when you think about 'pizza'. i would think 'pizza hut' right away, even if i don't like their pizza. and pizza hut is very american. but do someone claim that pizza came from America? no. did pyramid exist only in egypt? it may have existed there for long time and the size is incomparable. but there are many other cultures that had pyramids. pyramids in egypt is only monumental because it is very old and big. no one will claim that egyptian pyramids came from Tokyo or something, unless you are a japanese CEO of Sony or some other war criminals in japan.

This is not just "better robot arm". Here is other example of this kind.http://www.iirobotics.com/bot-news/general/new-intuitive-ways-to-teach-a-bot!-20070605938.html
This is just another way to teach robot by having direct interaction between the robot and the instructor. Robot yet still needs to be monitored closely by human and it does not do all that in its own. It still needs human's help. robot that learns like baby could be useful if it does something already well. maybe it can learn to create something better than it is originally programmed to do and play music more creatively and play sports such as golf and table tennis. but instructor himself is not perfect neither. lets say instructor teaches his robot to carry a fairly heavy box or large panel by simply putting(forcing) robotic hands on the sides of the box. then robot moves few feet and instructor realizes that it overstressed robotic arm. carrying it around with different position by finding center of weight by just lifting it up to knee high and experimenting comfortable position as humans do, could have prevented that. This is interesting progress anyway. I am bilingual who speaks English language as a second language. and during the beginning years of studying english, i thought a lot about how babies learn language. for instance, visualizing concepts and objects in your head, not just memorizing spellings and grammars. it is easy to ignore simple things. but we have yet to learn a lot from simpler ones(babies), and simple things that surrounds us.
