I agree. I did not mean to imply that traditions must be changed *now*, but I believe that they slowly are. Take public opinion on gay marriage, for example. Compare numbers from 100 years ago, and today.
But to say that "it's just arbitrary tradition" doesn't really make sense: where do you think tradition comes from? Traditions evolved with society,
And then society changed. A bit quicker than the traditions, who are still catching up.
But this lawsuit is a bit strange anyway. I bet it says in their contract what type of data per click they will get. If the agreement does not include Google reporting all ip adresses, it's kind of whiny to complain afterwards.
Isn't this their own fault if they neglect to add a rel=nofollow? Besides, the advertising agreement ought to exclude known crawler IPs like google, yahoo etc.
There is a difference. The spammers steal your time and good mood. The publishers likely won't even notice that the content they made *freely accessible* was visited by google. But even so, I think perhaps I agree with you.
I think Step 4 should be "Rewrite into a ground-breaking application, that will for decades be known as the epitome of usefullness and good engineering. Sell to highest bidder."
When I try to download I get greeted by a fatal exception:( And based on the download link to Sun studio, I found that the URL parameter "LMArea=nsx" was missing from the links to Java studio Creator and Enterprise. Add that to the end of the query string, and you will be fine.
I think the reason people choose one IM over the other is similar to why kids choose one console over the other -- what do your friends have? Too true. Here in Norway for example, everybody uses MSN:[
I have _never_ had any problem with a x86 (not ~x86, the unstable tree) ebuild. That, of course, does not prove that no problem ever existed. Don't use Gentoo anymore, though. Switched to Arch. (Almost) same flexibility, less compiling.

And there you have it: discrimination. Why does society value nurses less than some sleazy marketing CEO?

Misread the article, my bad.

that is if prices actually drop. In a free market, they should, in theory, but MS has got something close to a monopoly in some areas.

I think editors get notified when a page is changed. But they can't keep up when the damned thing changes every 5 seconds. Hence the template.
You do know that bonus dice are not multiplied on a critical?

Just curious:
by a "real solution", do you mean a GUI?
