There are still alternatives to Google's service so it's not evil for them to say this
Incorrect. In antitrust law the question is whether a company is able to exercise "market power", which does not depend on the mere existence of alternatives, but the relative market power with respect to the alternatives.
so really google should start making shittier products so there is a more equal playing field to choose from, is that what you're suggesting?
according to the experts at yahoo answers, there isn't recoil in the traditional sense, but there is recoil because physics and also it somehow forms babby.
this is one of the reasons i would wear google glass all the time in public. i've had a couple bogus tickets from cops and i'd love to be able to say "let's go to the video tape!". actually, i just want to say that anyway.
fair enough, but i guess upon thinking it over, we're arguing two differnet issues. you, the high rate of failure, and me, that small business is what america is made of. i realize now, that the arguments are not mutually exclusive. so i think we're both correct in a sense, no?
or if that is true, then there are enough new businesses taking their place. is it possible that when my biz fails this year, i try another one immediately? your numbers seem to paint a picture that there are no small businesses in america. nyc paints an entirely different picture. rural america - same picture. small biz is everywhere...
i was speaking more in terms of technological advances and applications, not necessarily in terms of speed. integration is bounding forward pretty quickly.
i don't see the internet doing anything "slowly". think back 3 years ago...5 years? we're on one helluva roller coaster - put your arms up, coz here we go!
I also disagree with your statement that Apple hardware is all about fickle and impressionable folks being wooed by gee whiz industrial design and ergonomics. People happen to like Apple hardware and software solution because it offers a well integrated solution that minimizes finger pointing.
