This is how a lot of open source companies make their money.

    At my last job we used Microsoft CRM 3.0....worst Microsoft Software I have ever used....most early Beta software from Microsoft worked better than the full release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 I think they have come out with a newer version since then, but I don't have any interest in checking it out. I assume this is the software that you are referring too.

    I don't see how it is a problem for marketers to review information you have posted on your public profile in order to better target ads. What's the difference between this and the ads Google uses? They too are ads targeted based on page content. But, it sounds like this simply does a better job of mining information from the page since MySpace would have a better understanding of the context of the information they are looking at.

    All the hate and distrust comes from the fact that they have done things like that before. But without the users knowledge. Sure they apologized, but it still shows the mentality of their corporation when things like that get signed off on and put into action. Even if the entire upper management claim plausible denial it still stinks. I think you missed the sarcasm in their post.

    These red light cameras are why I don't have a front license plate on my car. It would take 10 no front license plate tickets to equal one red light ticket in my area.

    What not just use VMWARE Server....it is free, and there is already plenty of information on it. Just install VMWare server, then run Ubuntu in that....My work laptop is a Dell D630 with 2 GB of RAM and it runs ubuntu 8.04 just fine as a Virtual Machine.

    This sounds an awful lot like blades: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_server Use something like open mosix: http://openmosix.sourceforge.net/ and make each blade a cluster node.....you now have your CPU/RAM on a card.

    How is someone supposed to know the difference between free wi-fi and someone leaving their wireless open to everyone....This is like someone broadcasting an FM radio station and calling me criminal for tuning in without asking you.....sorry my car radio just happened to pick up on your frequency.
