A lot of companies don't like deploying software unless they can call someone when they have problems. This is how a lot of open source companies make their money.
At my last job we used Microsoft CRM 3.0....worst Microsoft Software I have ever used....most early Beta software from Microsoft worked better than the full release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0
I think they have come out with a newer version since then, but I don't have any interest in checking it out.
I assume this is the software that you are referring too.
I don't see how it is a problem for marketers to review information you have posted on your public profile in order to better target ads.
What's the difference between this and the ads Google uses? They too are ads targeted based on page content.
But, it sounds like this simply does a better job of mining information from the page since MySpace would have a better understanding of the context of the information they are looking at.
All the hate and distrust comes from the fact that they have done things like that before. But without the users knowledge. Sure they apologized, but it still shows the mentality of their corporation when things like that get signed off on and put into action. Even if the entire upper management claim plausible denial it still stinks. I think you missed the sarcasm in their post.
Would legalizing drugs effectively begin the war on stupidity? Because, only the stupid would use the drugs, and hopefully remove themselves from the gene pool.
These red light cameras are why I don't have a front license plate on my car. It would take 10 no front license plate tickets to equal one red light ticket in my area.
What not just use VMWARE Server....it is free, and there is already plenty of information on it.
Just install VMWare server, then run Ubuntu in that....My work laptop is a Dell D630 with 2 GB of RAM and it runs ubuntu 8.04 just fine as a Virtual Machine.
How is someone supposed to know the difference between free wi-fi and someone leaving their wireless open to everyone....This is like someone broadcasting an FM radio station and calling me criminal for tuning in without asking you.....sorry my car radio just happened to pick up on your frequency.
The aptera already meets all this criteria....it gets 120 MPG without plugging it in, or you can charge it up at night and only use 1 gallon to go 350 miles...See: http://www.aptera.com/details.php for more detail.s

Really? I thought he was totally serious....thats almost exactly what I did.

Good point, I forgot about that article
It's because they keep making cars bigger with better acceleration instead of improving Mileage

But are they going to continue using CDMA on those frequencies? I dont want a phone where I can't simply insert a card to program it.
This sounds an awful lot like blades: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_server Use something like open mosix: http://openmosix.sourceforge.net/ and make each blade a cluster node.....you now have your CPU/RAM on a card.

So would red lights have the opposite effect by fooling people into thinking it was night time?
I think this article is free....as in beer
This thing reminds me of a Mini Imperial Walker http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_Walker
Is that the reason why you have to be going 88 MPH in order to travel in time?
