Another useful intro is using your strong skills to help others - try tutoring students. It will let you meet people who respect your ability. Much like an 80's movie, you can easily assist the jocks with your brain. Be friendly to them, and ask where the fun parties are at school. Some may insult you, some may ignore you, but others will help you bridge the gap. Once you are at the party, the rest is up to your personal grooming skills and ability at small talk.

And also, the prosecutors realized that US law regarding child porn is less restrictive when it comes to cartoon rendering, so they went after him on obscenity law instead. So now it's not even the thin patina of "think of the children" but rather "think of the neighbors and what they might think".

So you think a politician is better equipped to weigh long-term decision making in the realm of science, vs a scientist who might possibly understand the language, risks, methodology used in describing potential crises and future developement? Good luck with that. That's where we are today - crippled by the religion of politics where only the loudest hungry voice or needy lobbyist is heard. God forbid a person with knowledge earned is asked to weigh evidence and drive policy.

There is also homebrew of the old-school Lone Wolf paperback choose-your-own adventure RPG. I think there's only 1 or 2 of them, but it's amazing and perfect for the DS, like the PW series.

Nope, I use it for 7-10 hour plane flights and it reads fine. I use DSReader for top-bottom reading, and when my eyes or hands get tired, switch to the Readmore app to read it like a book. You can change the font, font size, the background/text color, etc until its comfortable to read. I haven't found any homebrew that offers an auto-scroller, but otherwise this is the best handheld reader that I've used.
