The problem with this is that it will be up to Twitter to define "hate speech". Is it saying hateful things to someone? Is it threatening someone? Is it saying things they disagree with?
I could see WhatsApp using this in advertisements to promote that they are so good at spreading information that repressive governments try to shut them down. They could advertise free speech. Wait, aren't they owned by Facebook? Nevermind.
Why not blame, oh, I dunno, G.M.? Maybe their management had something to do with it. This quote from the summary might have something to do with it "Chevrolet Cruze, whose U.S. sales through October were down 20 percent". Why were their sales down? According to Hillary and Obama, the economies great so it could be that. And to say otherwise would be sexists.

How do we know Stephen Hawking isn't an evil mastermind bent on destroying the world? Maybe he's just saying that so we won't develop AI while he secreting develops his own?

I don't think Microsoft cares as much about Windows. I think they want you to buy their cloud services.
