    Not so with AppBackup & AptBackup. They make backing up and restoring both "Apple Approved" and Jailbreak apps (respectively) a breeze.

    Displacement maps and bump maps contain exactly the same information. The only difference is how they are used. I am a professional 3d artist, by the way.

    You're forgetting that data density also increases, which means a platter would have to rotate much slower to pass the same amount of information under a read head.

    No matter how many new laws you put in place, you can't completely protect stupid people from evil people. Often, the worst victims of changes to the system are those who play it fairly.

    The engine powering the serious sam games allows for all sorts of gravity types. You can define gravity per-sector, or with spherical/cylindrical volumes that can work as attractors or repulsors.

    I used to have the same problem, where the server list refresh would stop at around 200-400. I read somewhere that you have to delete a file and let steam rebuild it on the next run. As I recall, it was one of those .blob files. I did that, and my problem was solved.

    No, anecdote implies that the information is second-hand, can not be verified, and is therefore unreliable.
    Actual scientific data is first-hand and verifiable.

    Uncheck "Don't save account credentials on this computer" in steam settings.
    Then you only have to log in once, and the computer will allow you to go into offline mode any time after that.

    It works for my laptop when I can't get wifi when traveling.

    Solar panels in space, is the only 'clean' energy that would have no effect besides maybe blocking the view of Sol from far away systems.

    Except that you're piping energy, which eventually turns to heat, directly to earth.

    There is no energy transfer that can happen which does not affect change in any auxiliary connected systems, no matter how minuscule the change.
