What reality are you from? Earth 616? The Danish right wing government is stupidly holding back on any needed repairs and has for years, which is why the old - and damaged - sewer system has gotten repeatedly overloaded during the floods over the last few years, which again has led to a lot of structural damage, that the municipality of Copenhagen (as well as the rest of the country) is now very busy trying to catch up with. In vain mostly.
You imply that high unemployment (which we already have, thank you) is better for the economy than growth. I disagree. But why exactly is road repair a bad idea? What business we have left depends on infrastructure and traffic accidents are very costly both in the short and the long term.
... I would suggest replacing the CEO (and other idiotic managers) with a simple mechanical automaton. Could probably do a better a job and would only require simple maintenance. Evidently the monkey isn't working in most of these cases.
Rest assured that Denmark too is definitely rotten. But then we've been US lapdogs since 2001. Our supreme court recently affirmed that private parties can require dns blocks (lame as they are) on search engines and metadata. Police can arbitrarily decide zones in which if you get caught you can be detained practically indefinitely for the crime of merely being present...
And we still have to go to Sweden to buy snus in portions...
Wrong. If you order from another EU country the company is required to charge your local VAT. It is mainly luxury and media taxes that can be dodged, but only if they're charged at the engros level or later. For example; I can (and do) avoid paying the Danish media tax on writable discs by ordering from Germany, but I still pay Danish VAT. The evil Swedish goverment insidiously charges the insanely high luxury-tax on snus at production level, so I get to pay that AND Danish VAT, even though I live in Denmark (where the tax on smoke-free tobacco is a more lenient less than 10€/kg). Yes, an opinion irrelevant to TFA snuck in, but there you are.
From memory Denmark (note that Dane though I am, I did not use "we") voted to support both formats. Just like in Norway there were quite a few "strange circumstances"...
Can't be arsed to write more than one comment, so I'll use this opportunity to point out that several municipalities have already changed to ODF and (OpenOffice), Microsoft fighting them tooth and nail with lies and half-truths as usual.
Oh no, you've misunderstood the term. A partisan shill might be someone - often a republican I've noted - who tries any which way to silence or mock news posted on internet news sites that isn't in the shill's own interest.
Do not have a good day.

Pro Tools is only compatible with Pro Tools hardware, they have a lite version for M-Audio hardware (because they bought them). Not all manufacturers are hostile and some of those who are get to see their hardware running fine on *nix anyway. Most PCI-based soundcards run fine, there isn't a hell of a lot PCIe cards to worry about yet, USB (yuck) works if it's class compliant. Check the freebob project for Linux firewire compability, class compliance applies. ADAT is a digital connection used to connect to outside gear, the other end is PCI or firewire (I have yet to see an USB card with ADAT, not that I'm trying), you might as well say that linux can't use XLR-cables...
Pleeeeeease get your facts straight before you hit submit.
Well, that page is about VST(i)s compiled for Windows running under WINE. If you compile compatible code for *nix they work just as well as on windows. Only one developer http://energy-xt.com/ is gunning for VST(i)s on *nix though, as far as I know, and has written and compiled a few, the (in-)famous mda-plugs for example. Most are happy with LADSP and DSSI.
... will of course be called FreeUnbox or FairUnbox. Or in short Funbox.
Not that it will happen anytime soon: given the titles Amazon offers are all out on the already "pwned" DVD format, who can be bothered to crack it?
Philips was also behind the Digital Compact Cassette which deservingly failed miserably, it's main competitor being MiniDisc. Sony&Phillips also collaborated on SACD, which isn't making too impressive inroads in the marketplace either many even being sold as CDs. VCD? Not unless you was yellow. Then there's the Enhanced CD mess which has shown to be an efficient way of installing rootkits on Media Center PCs - although with the wonderful sideeffect that many less techsavvy people now equals DRM with rootkits. Technically wrong of course, but an improvement nonetheless.
Can't wait to read about the earthy brown Microsoft Phune on my next Android mobile. :P
Strange. I watch Daily Show online fairly often, even though it's aired here in Denmark. And has been for years.
... yes. It IS as good as we say. Can't be bothered with emulators, it looks great on the Wii. Even better on my old CRT TV. :)
Yep. No problems at all, but then I don't think the partition had any encrypted streams to cope with. Windows 7.

To avoid Microsoft Apple could buy whatever is left of AltaVista. And then we'll have Apple Vista. No, wait...
Water in solid form is usually referred to as 'ice' or equivalent translations thereof.

Applies to any politician exactly as much as "honest" do.

How can Microsoft not got for quantity in this case?
...but who cares? Given current practises it won't be long before he is hit with a patent lawsuit anyway...
