    For a particular account, go to "Properties" then to "Server Settings", then click on "Advanced". There's a "SMTP" tab. But, you can't type what you want into that dropdown list box.

    How are you supposed to put in the SMTP server that you want?

    Which ones do you use?

    Back when I had multiple accounts with multiple ISPs, I just ended up having one account forward to the other...really clogged things up and confused me to no end.

    The image above is a very close approximation of what iTab should look like when constructed. The iTab is not built yet.

    Ok, it doesn't sound like they even have a prototype and it voids Apple's warrantee. This does not give me any confidence in their ability to do this work. I wouldn't want them fucking with my iBook.

    I'll wait for Apple, thank you very much.

    ....seeing this in some documentary awhile back.

    I saw it on "Scientific American Frontiers" on PBS.

    That was a cool show. They re-run those shows a lot, so check your listing. PBS' site has schedules on it.

    FTFA: Hundreds of thousands of fully controlled Internet connected hosts, with amazing bandwidth, storage and sensitive information stored within could be easily utilized to perform the majority of security attacks we are witnessing these days.

    Would it be possible, if for instance, an ISP sees a shit load of traffic from a customer's address directed at another address to start blocking that traffic? Or at the very least notifying the customer that there may something wrong. I bet just about everyone whose computer has these bots are comletely unaware. They might even bitch about how slow their connection is.

    I'm already thinking of the ethical and privacy issues involved with doing that, but it would stop some of the DOS extortion.

    I agree that it's kind of shitty that money isn't going to OSS. Then again, they're getting free security checking that'll can be applied and distributed for free. Hopefully, someone in Gov. will see the light and spend some money on OSS to have the security holes fixed. Donations to th OSS organizations affected by the screening?

    We've all have heard about the wasteful spending by states and municipalites regarding the spending of money thrust upon them by Homeland Security. It's a matter that concerns both sides - a little. Homeland Security has become yet another avenue for pork barrel spending, and as a result, states are getting money that may not help the fight on terrorism. Senate

    At least the department of homaland security isn't wasteing all of thier money.

    I agree. This will promote OSS and help reduce the costs of our Government. So what's the problem with what the parent said?

    .I suggest that we clone the world's past great leaders and scientists (FDR, Einstein, Tesla...) and build a new government manned by them when they reach maturity. It's got to be an improvement on the current situation here in the U.S.

    Do you really think all of those people would be willing to work together? I think a lot of those great leaders couldn't stand being second banana to anyone.

    It is like a fence with a "no trespassing" sign.

    To use your comparison: we have to play the legal game. There are times when I really wish I could just shoot tresspassers. Really! Vandalism, littering, noise, etc... The cops have more important things to deal with. But, by doing those stupid little things, I can, hopefully, head off a lawsuit or some easement that'll compromise my rights or possibly have my rights significantly diminshed or even taken away.

    I didn't request an update or anything. When the message box appeared saying something to the affect of "Do you want to upgrade to the newest version of MS Media Player?" I clicked on "No" or "Cancel"

    Anyway, that fucking log shows the install doing a lot of checking and thing that I'm not so sure I want done to my machine. I'm too paranoid to publish it here, but have a look sometime.

    Just think, the pointer would go off and search for what you want to click on. Just wiggle it, pointing at things you kind of want to point at, and, Voila,l it comes up with a bunch of icons that you may want to click on. But then again, you'll have the firms that'll help companies to get their icons to the top of the list for you click on. Normally, this isn't bad, but if they have themselves placed at the top of the list for "click throughs" well, that could genereate some revenue!

    How's that for a business model from a sarcastic remark?!? As a matter of fact, maybe I should start a company: business plans from sarcastic comments. Ooo, yeah! Want in?

    I guess to have your own DRM, you have to develop your own player.

    More FTFA:How will it work with Microsoft's DRM, Apple's DRM and Real's DRM? Will it extend to music? If so, what will the limitations be on how often you can copy songs or how many devices can store the tunes?

    Obviously, it can't; unless, MS and Apple add Google's DRM to their players.

    Forgot to mention that the oil would be lighter still, maybe not as light as gasoline (6 lbs/gallon), but it'd be lighter. So we're talking between, 50 and 70 lbs for the machine.

    8 gallons of water is a little over 64 lbs (about 8 lbs per gallon). So the machine would be, what? 70 lbs including the hardware itself.

    I don't think that it's that heavy. Of course, if you have a bad back, then it'd be an issue.

    Crisco. It's a solid at room temperature and then it'll liquify as it gets hot. Of course, while it's liquifying, it's taking more heat away from the components.
