Without the first two films, I doubt it would be worth even half of what TMNT was. It like telling someone they now own every Lucasfilm property, except for anything relating to Star Wars.
I love what I think are called 'contranyms'...words who are their own antonym. Among then are cleave (to cling to, to split apart), trim (to add to, to remove from), and oversight (to watch over, or to not notice at all). Good stuff, language.
I doubt the poster see it that way. But I will give him/her (most likely him) full points for avoiding the other common trappings of the 'call people "sheeple" in forums' crowd. Namely, constantly typing 'people' in all caps preceded by the phrase 'come on' and followed by at least 5 exclamation points.
Now I'm [still] waiting for the big boom
And it know where I'm [was] gonna be
The big boom
I'm always getting closer to
The big boom
And it will catch up to me
The big boom
That would be fine until someone accidentally booted from the Netflicks [sic] DVD and hosed their system because they did not know what they were doing. I doubt they would ever open themselves up to that kind of liability.
How is that relevant? A TiVo does not give you access to any measurable amount of 'free' video content. You can't even open a web browser on an OOTB TiVo. Hell, a Wii has more access to free online content.
Well then....I will just trot on down to my local Staples and pick up a copy of the new version of Ubuntu. Or do they mean the 'ether' when they say the 'streets'?
If I lived in what we euphemistically called a 'developing nation' would I not be more concerned with things like food for my family and adequate housing in my community and less concerned with things like connecting to my bank via the web or updating my Facebook status? I can think of no absolute basic (i.e. food, water, shelter) that is, as yet, a broadband-only option.
Of course not. I mean, their social standing makes their wrongful conviction a fundamental impossibility. It just makes sense.
Kidding aside, the wrongful conviction of the rich and powerful usually come in the form of purges or revolutions. As opposed to us plebes that get stuck with the pedestrian court system, the powerful get lined up and shot, or beheaded, or just 'disappeared'.
Whenever I travel, I changed my splash screen graphic to a simple red-on-black message that reads:
"Dear Housekeeping,
Use of this system is monitored and you intrusion attempt has been reported to the system owner. The time has been recorded and the built-in webcam has taken your picture. Stop now and no charges will be filed."
Another method would be working for an under-funded government agency (like me). That last time I went to a conference I had to bring a 'company laptop'. Since the system was impressively 'designed for Windows 2000', I just took the battery out of the laptop when I was away from the room (along with the AC adaptor). I doubt anyone could find a retail outlet that sold nearly decade-old laptop batteries. SUck on that super maid spies!
Does that also mean that, when a rich person does get convicted and go to jail, they must have really done it? Whereas a poor person who goes to jail is likely just a victim of the system?
Yeah! Why doesn't AT&T stick to telephones and telegraphs? And who the hell does Yamaha think it is making industrial robots and motorcycles? Stick to musical instruments guys! Sheesh!
They have no such monopoly. You can buy music all over the place, without DRM.
Well, you can buy music all over the place. But for the vast, vast majority of online music buyers when they think 'I want to buy a song', they think 'iTunes'. Apple (and other independent research firms) put their online music market share at something like 80%. That's certainly not a monopoly in the legal sense, but it is in the practical sense.
I upgraded Vista Ultimate x64 to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and had no significant issues. The 'upgrade advisor' program even advised me to deauthorize my installation of iTunes before continuing. No fuss, no muss, as they say.
Especially you Canadians and Peruvians! Oh wait, you meant US citizens didn't you? Never mind than.
This thread is eating itself.
Because everybody knows that the 5th sequel is the real money maker.

My Asus came with that goofy customized Xandros OS (complete with enormous cartoon-like icons). I considered the entire OS to be crapware.
Ten minutes!? My upgrade took 5 hours!
I am trying to figure out what the heck that means. In this context, does it match any of these definitions?

So now this song will go like this?:
Now I'm [still] waiting for the big boom
And it know where I'm [was] gonna be
The big boom
I'm always getting closer to
The big boom
And it will catch up to me
The big boom

tl;dr
Never has that little Bill Gates/Locutus graphic been more appropriate.

I did not realize the Hulu viewers were 'bound' and therefore needed to be 'loosed' in the first place.

No, no....it's was a Layer 8 problem for sure.
