...but when will they come to the light and stop using fricking Times New Roman??? Can a brother get some Veranda or Helvetica up in here? See reference material here.
Sometimes, just to be a jackass, I will find these illicit copies and do subtle things before I pass them on. Things like a find/replace on character names or finding the "dénouement paragraph" and putting it on the first page. I also like to get MP3s from torrents, run them thru Audacity to make them left channel only, and then seed them out to some cheapskate on the other end. They should try that....it's fun!
I guess my thinking was along the lines of 'any port in the storm'. The way a rabid animal will see any creature within its' sight as a threat, a rabid job seeker will see any job as an acceptable job - even if they are gross unqualified.
I just got Comcast's 'Ultra' package that gives me 50Mbps. But since it's capped at 250GB monthly, I can't exactly use it as much as I want. What good is crazy fat bandwidth if one gets shut off after three days?
This phenomenon recently happened at work. We are a non-profit attached to the State education system. We have less than 125 employees, but most of us get paid okay (for a non-profit) and have great benefits (because of the government association). However, it's not exactly Google or Microsoft; certainly not the sexiest place to work. Usually it takes weeks to get enough resumes when a new job is posted. But the HR folks did not account for rabid nature of current job seekers. They posted a new job opening on Craigslist and within three days had 15000 applicants. They eventually had to pull the opening while they waded through all the resumes...
"It's time to stand up for what we believe in." Who is this nebulous 'we'? Do you mean 'you'? Because not everyone (not even close) thinks how you do.
"We can't be passive citizens anymore." Then pick up a weapon and overthrow this hellscape government you apparent live in. Don't just blog and complain. If it's/so/ awful, then make it stop. You can't be a part of an evil system while railing against it like an outsider.
"As each week passes we loose [sic] more and more of our rights as American Citizens." You mean Canadians? Mexicans? Because they are all 'American Citizens'. There is no country called America. It's the United States/of/ America. America is short for North America, the continent shared by several nations.
snaps images less than a half a billionth of a second long and can capture over six million images in a second
At that rate isn't this just high-speed digital video? Really high-speed digital video? Or is digital high-speed just a series of stills taken really fast? I'm confused....
If you get jumped by some guy, are you going to jump every time you see another guy?
Most likely, yes. It's called 'post traumatic stress disorder'. Without the proper treatment, a person will probably experience extreme anxiety around men for the rest of their lives. Ask any victim of a brutal sexual assault. Or, you know, do some research.
Or, you know, three times in one day. But same diff, right? If what people call '9/11' took place over the course of a few months, instead on just one day, would you still feel it was a "once-in-a-lifetime event"? Brutal sexual assault is also often a once-in-a-lifetime event. But people who have been victims of it are usually troubled by the even forever.
I agree. I think the KKK or violent urban street gangs qualify as terrorists more than a group that severs communication lines. I think the latter would be more like malicious vandals. Kind of like someone who superglues door locks at a high school.
The powers that be seem hell bent on making any video more intense than Paper Mario an adults-only form of entertainment; and thereby make even 3rd rate gore games desirable in the eyes of the consumerist teenager. They just keep pushing these games into sexier and sexier territory: "What? I have to pay a special tax because "teh game is teh hardcorz"? I'll take ten!!!"
I don't think catchpa [sic] is "fundamentally flawed", it's just poorly implemented. If an organization only allowed 10 captcha authentications per day/per IP, successful or not, then they could never make enough to pay for all the IP address needed to sign up 1000's daily.
Just in point of fact. A bridesmaid is a woman who stands with the bride on her wedding day. A "bride's maid" is someone hired to clean the brides house (I guess).
....that these religious folks were being completely honest while others were just giving the easiest answer possible on the survey (i.e. 'do nothing'). Okay, maybe not.
Good advice to be sure. But all it takes is one stray zootube video of a horse forcibly sodomizing a teenage girl to scar her for life. At least use a filter to cull out the really creppy stuff.
With those two in place she will never see a dirty picture she didn't look for. More than once I have recommended a site (usually a hacking or cracking site) to a friend and had them remark on how much porn advertising was on the site and all the porn popup ads. I hadn't even realized it because I was using AdBlock[er] and NoScript and wasn't seeing any of that.
Those settings are GLOBAL are they not? I don't want to see the same font on every page. TNR is fine in moderation.

It was really quite crippling for them.
Would not something like this or this be far more practical? Now if this camera actually looked like a gun that would be something.
So many things wrong here:

Well, silence equals consent under the law...or so I have been told.

You'll understand more when you move out and meet some grown up women. Sorry to upset you kiddo.

So Jacob was tricked into thinking Jacob was a small town in NW Gambia? That's pretty impressive. I always thought he was impersonating Esau.

There's this cool place down South called Antarctica. People even work there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Antarctica

Nice! I hope it's called XCOM: Terror from the streets.
At least he spelled something right in that sentence.
modded redundant? the parent was the only reference to this, even at -1! maybe 'redundant' means something else in the China or the Russia
