    Lets be real here.

The police try to find patterns in activity already, but it is far less effective for a relatively small group of people to look for patterns than it is for a computer with many cameras.

This is exactly what is already happening but faster.

When you are in public, you are in public.

  8. Net Neutrality on MPAA Boss Makes Case for ISP Content Filtering · · Score: 0

When you purchase your connection from your ISP the speed you buy is regulated by the modem, especially in cable modems.

So why not have unrestricted downloads of content from the ISP's servers when purchased.

Actual value is added to the content (I get it faster) and the pirated copy is no longer the better version.

I for one am not interested in storing massive amounts of material, I download watch seed a little more than I took and delete everything.

DRM becomes unnecessary if the content is available instantly from an un-metered connection.

The original premise was that wireless spectrum needed to be regulated to prevent collisions.

Government working the way it does figured out that this could be taxed, the most effective way to tax this is to auction off spectrum licenses.

Honestly auctioning off spectrum licenses seems better than the alternative of the FCC deciding who can use what spectrum based on what their view of what is the most useful.

Clearly the FCC has no idea what is the best application for the limited spectrum 'resources' that are available.
