    The DVR used in different markets must be different. My Cox DVR (a Motorolla 6412 in West Texas) can do all these things.

    Start (1) | Printers and Faxes (2) | Add a printer (3) | Click Next (4) | Click A Network Printer... (5) | Click Next (6) | Click Connect to this Printer and enter printer name ... (7) | Click Next (8) | Click Yes or No for default printer (9) | Click Next (10) | Click Finish (11).
    Eleven clicks - 15 seconds for a networked printer.

    I second DreamHost. Never a problem. Great support. Great features (that get better all the time). Not financially tied to the company, just very, very happy.

    What would keep you from going to an airfield with a tape measure and an inclinometer to take some measurements. Surely these measurements could be translated into formulae to make an airfoil model.

    Being smart doesn't mean you are a nerd. I knew straight A students who were all around athletes and in the "cool" crowd.

    I knew plenty of straigh A students who were complete idiots. they could just memorize, they had absolutly no abstract thinking skills. They did fine in high school, which says alot about high school.

    Ask for a receipt _each_ time someone touches your valuables, computer or otherwise. Or ask that the manager oversee the process. Print up a bunch of "this laptop was in working order when handed to _________________ on the ____________ date". Initials and a date would probably help some. They are inconviencing you in the name of security. You should be able to protect your security as well.

    Refined rice (most white rices) as well as white pasta are almost all carbs. Those carbs raise your blood sugar enough that your body has to increase insulin to keep you from going into diabetic shock. Sugar is toxic in your bloodstream, which is why we make insulin. One of the nasty side-effects of insulin is it keeps your body from burning stored fat. This keeps you from losing bulk. Stay away from carbs if you are trying to loose weight. That means stay away from refined pastas, rices, and breads.

    Where I live (West Texas) the town is flat. I live 3.3 miles from my office, but there are quite a few building between here and there. How line of sight is WiFi line of sight? Would I need to be able to see the building at the other end of the link?

    I used to love my Ironman too. Then the watch broke where the band meets the watch. The plastic on the watch broke, meaning no fixing :( I've still got in a box somewhere in the garage and it still shows the correct time after 4 years in said box.

    I'm not a windows lover, in fact, i tend to dislike Microsoft quite a bit. I'm also a power user who works a machine hard. I've been using Windows 2000 Pro for about a year and it has _never_ not once crashed. This is running 800 MHz with 384MB of ram running a distributed client on a laptop. I think some /. readers need to take another look a the _stability_ of recent Win offerings. The arguments that windows crashes a lot is so inapplicable to Win2K that it dilutes all other arguments.
