Yeah I totally agree with your logic behind a blanket no-formal reference policy. It saves a ton of headaches from managers who don't know the HR basics. Normally a company will only be sued for giving a good reference for a poor employee when it can be shown that the company materially lied about the employees standing. This has been shown in cases where Employer A wanted to sabotage Employer B so therefore Employer A will giving a glowing reference to his competitor about an atrocious employee.

Like the parent said there is no federal law that compels a company to cash out your vacation pay. About half of the states do not require a company to cash out the vacation pay. So no, you don't know what the hell you are talking about - at least 50% of the time.

This isn't even taking account for bulk ordering or vendor contract deals. Also the preinstalled 'apps' subsidize the cost of windows.

I don't know if cost is really such a big factor, especially considering the support for linux will have a hefty price tag as well. Consider training, help desk software, FAQs and documentation, and etc when thinking of the cost of linux. The only incentive manufactures have are which versions will sell more?

No need for an expensive SSD or hard drive. Need more storage? Pay 5 dollars to upgrade for an extra 20gb. Need to work on your project without access? Pop in you 512mb memory stick and boot/save from there.

Isn't this what most people claim they need? Stop being so short-sighted and imagine the possibilities. This author has some interesting ideas.

It seems as if the slower page load times on the voyager make the increased 3G speeds negligible. I did notice on my mom's new palm (verizon 3g) and my dad's blackberry world (verizon 3g) their page loads were considerably faster, probably because of the faster hardware.

Point of the story: If your mainly looking at consumer phones don't let the slower edge network stop you. Hope that helped.
