I love how everyone complains about MS pushing back Vista so far and then now that it's finally out everyone says, "I'm not installing it until I have to."
Then the people who love OS X because of how great it looks, but when Vista comes out with similar eye candy complaints come due to needing to upgrade hardware, that it's not necessary or that it's just a straight crib of OS X.
Interesting that a more technical explanation gives more definition/explanation than a government buzz-phrase.
Or in Bush Speak for Joe Sixpack: "It hits the bad guy's missile so hard it breaks."
Let's face it, myspace is still new and immature, but will probably get better and more polished given time and money.
I disagree. Myspace won't improve unless there is something that pushes them to improve. Right now they seem to be doing quite well for themselves and I doubt they will "polish" any more while there are still 20somethings signing up and clicking on ads by the million.
Agreed. I hope I didn't come off as a snob in the previous comment, but my foray into the realm of file-sharing was much the same. You get what you pay for. So I came to expect low quality when I didn't pay for things, purchasing (quality versions of) what I liked and deleting the low quality stuff that I didn't like (and want to purchase).
To me, P2P functions similarly to the old CD stores that used to have a "demo" CD that you could listen to to see if you liked it. Granted, the CDs were usually scratched up (low quality like you'd generally expect to find on P2P), but you got an idea of what the music was like and could decide if you wanted to purchase it.
If you're going to complain about the quality of the content just buy it yourself at your preferred quality level. As the saying goes, "Beggars can't be choosers."
So if Google is any measure of their recognition, Biden and Feinstein are clearly more "well-known", but Graham and Alexander are hardly nobodies. Either way, I think that if anyone was named they all should have been named.
On a separate note, don't you just love bipartisan politics?
You were obviously failed by government education both in critical thinking and geography. The summary plainly states "Sacramento State" and when combined with CSU it is obvious that the only reasonable, logical meaning of CSU is California State University.
This move only makes sense if MS decided that the ill will generated by screwing all their existing customers is outweighed by the the marketshare they'll gain from Zune
Not only will it screw over their existing customers, it could also scare off possible future customers because they wouldn't want to be screwed again when MS changes their DRM format again.

"How about Myspace as well? It is easily argued that Myspace controls the banner space and content added to the 'global' site (ie every page). This is akin to aiding and abetting. "
Only if Myspace knew what was going on (which they almost certainly did not). Or do you think any business transaction with criminals is 'akin to aiding and abetting'? In which case, shouldn't you also prosecute...
etc...

Can't one say anything, no matter the likelihood of inflammation (no pun intended), if it is phrased in the form of a question?

1. Create new media
2. Convince the public that the old media isn't good enough
3. PROFIT!

No... wait...I'm sorry, but there is a *big* difference between holding an M16 (6-8 lb) and holding a "wiimote" (mere ounces).
