1. Controlled by in app credentials ie calls security or police of minor takes beer. (Could be in a locked case that dispenses item only if you meet requirements)
2. Also controlled in App If you are talking about your wife or kids and yourself grabbing different things you will just designate you are shopping for so and so...
3. They will use it the same way they do now.
4. Maybe they'll have a machine that you can put cash into to get a shopping code for the App Or a self checkout slow lane for the few people with cash?
5.The smart phone part does not apply here. But the Amazon App only makes sense to use at the Amazon store. You are not being Paid by Amazon and FORCED to spend your pay to buy thing in their store.
6.Who says you cant come in and browse just don't take anything.
7. If your phone dies the last thing you took off the shelf is the last thing you will be charged for. YOU will have to police yourself and KNOW if you take anything else it will be stealing. Since the app communicates with the cloud/store if you turn off your phone on purpose it will know and it will call security or the police.
I would add robocalls from schools. whenever school is going to be cancelled or delayed the school robocalls all parents to let them know. This happens hours (8 to 10 sometimes) Before it shows up on any lists on the school websites or local news. Each time we get a robocall from the school it has been from a different number (non local)
Usually to offset losses when selling cheap windows laptops the manufacturers get paid to install all kinds of bloatware and other stuff that takes hours to remove from the machine (some consumers are unable to do this themselves) Will this come with that? Also isnt the reason people buy chromebooks is because all your files and settings are in the cloud. You just log in and every thing is as youd want it to be?
Yeah the cab industry pays is fair share of taxes right? Thats why its remained a cash business in a world where less and less people use cash because they cook the books hide profits and only report a and pay taxes on a FRACTION of what they make... well except when theyre laundering money;)
Lets get this out of the way right now the industry HATES regulations they are constanly complaining about them and finding loopholes and other means to avoid them. The ONLY time they like regulations is when they can use them as a tool to stick it to startups to keep the status quo. Alot of people are citing safety.... using safety and taxi in the same sentence must be a joke right? Do you really think half of these cabs on the road would REALLY pass a state inspection? do you really think they "pass" any of the other inspections they get? Most of the time one vehicle is presented for inspection out of a fleet. Why because the people paid to inspect them are LAZY and its more profitable for them not to inspect them all;)
Make sure no one you know plays their games. If you see someone playing one explain to them whats going on and suggest alternatives.
If that fails turn to ridicule make it so no one would be caught dead (isnt this happening already?) playing their games for fear or persecution.
Here in the northeast we have a winter storm warning getting 10-16 inches overnight so i went to check if there were any early school closings http://closings.cbs6albany.com... And sure enough its down i think theres a few parents hammering the refresh button. So i went to netcraft and sure enough its Windows Server 2008 Microsoft-IIS/7.5.:/
In the future you get a brain implant that gives you total recall of everything you see and hear. Will you barred from the movies because you would remember it perfectly and would be able to "play it back" in your mind? (how will they know who has implants and who does not)
Why not use app ops? remove all permissions you do not want an app to have. We should be telling apps what they are allowed to do not the other way around!
Was it paranoiod android or cyanogenmod that had a system in which it gave these apps fake info and sandboxed them....The apps installed but privlidges revoked?
This is similar to miscorsofts desktop operating system strategy. They release something and see how the consumer reacts( me, vista, win8) Then come along with a bunch of "fixes" and get them to buy a new os again a short time later. The strategy here is to allow leaks about the console and see how consumers react and come up with "fixes" ie. they see how far they can push you and step back just enough that youll take it. I bought my son the 360 because it seemed relatively cheap compared to the ps3 back then But we had to buy a wifi adapter hard drive etc ended up costing the same in the end just no blue ray. This time around i think we will go with the ps4 and if they have similar used game strategy then we will go without either.
How would the people paying for the ads know that half their users are blocking it? Oh wait they tell the world via a post their website. Gee i wonder if the advertisers are going to want to pay them anymore. Adblockers dont allow the content (ads) to download to your computer why dont we have smarter adblockers that download them to a sandbox and immediately destroy them giving them the impression that we are seeing them? And our browsers should NEVER let websites know we are even running these plugins EVER
Get her a chromebook/chromebox set her homepage as aol.com set it to auto login to her acct. Make sure the launcher icon is the aol icon:) If you want to keep the same hardware just install a light linux distro with the same set-up
Even if it wasnt intentional (i doubt it) what this does do is make it just a little bit harder to install linux. And makes microsoft the gatekeeper of YOUR hardware. What happens to ALOT of old windows pc's? They get linux installed on them to give them a few more years of usefulness = a loss of revenue for microsoft. Even if it is a small percentage its not enough microsoft would be much happier if the percentage was ZERO......
Why not our own key signing cert? Myself and many others would gladly pay to help run such a service for the community. Why hand the litereal keys to the kingdom to the very person whos been trying to destroy you for years?
Im sure the 8gb will sell out soon too. I bought two for the kids they love it so far. Its an excellent device for the price anyone holding back on getting one rest assured. We went with the 8 Gb because they stream everything youtube vids/netflix not much is stored locally except for some games.
WOW wonder if they are going to lock the boot loader etc to stop this? if everyone buys a kindle (based on gingerbred 2.3) and installs the snappier vanilla jelly bean based roms. Now not only will they have a tablet that will get updated but they will be able to use google play/market and not have to buy from amazon. Im sure atleast on the lower in they take a near loss on every tablet but if you as a customer arent buying from their market they will be in the hole.:O Talk about sticking it to the man! lol
So people are saying oh noes it will be open and you will be able to pirate software this console will fail! Trying to force the companies hand to implement security measures. Then out of the other side of their mouths saying oh noes this console is using ubi soft always on phone home drm as a security measure its not open at all this console will fail. Dear ouya dont listen to these morons go for the open approach ignore all the bs!

Just do as fox news does and pre-face everything you say with "some people say"
Yes and thats what the linux foundation should be doing! Thats their job!
