The company estimates over 800,000 US gallons (3,000,000 L) of crude oil leaked into Talmadge Creek, a waterway that feeds the Kalamazoo River,[653][654][655] whereas EPA reports over 1,139,569 gallons of oil have been recovered as of November 2011.[656] On July 27, 2010, an Administrative Order was issued by U.S. EPA requiring the performance of removal actions in connection with the facility. The Order requires Enbridge to immediately conduct removal of a discharge or to mitigate or prevent a substantial threat of a discharge of oil and to submit a Work Plan for the cleanup activities that was to include a Health and Safety Plan,[657] as required by 29 CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER). An oil spill cleanup contractor from Texas, Hallmark, bussed numerous undocumented workers to Battle Creek to work on the cleanup of oil spill and had them work in unsafe conditions.[658]

  14. Re:It's not that the price increase is so great... on Netflix Deflects Rage Over Price Increase · · Score: 1

a fair comment, but I believe you can change your plan back and forth. So at least in the scenario you gave, you could buy streaming for a day or two and then turn it off. Also, I think the streaming content Neflix has is pretty poor. I don't find a whole lot that I like to watch. The real reason for this cost increase is that Netlfix messed up on it's content contracts. They didn't plan for the high volume of customers they got. So, they are currently paying high overage fees to the content providers. Netflix may negotiate better contracts in which case they could lower the pricing again, but I'd expect them to just keep the higher pricing and make more profit. It's what I would do. Like others have said, they may/probably will still make more money with the new pricing even if many customers leave. They may have been losing money as of late due to the overage charges on their current contracts.

No, entrapment would be if the FBI came to you (posing as a foreign power) out of the blue to ask if you would share secret info and then you did. e.g. they enticed or entrapped you into doing it. In this case, the guy initiated the action all on his own. The FBI in this case was just proving that the guy really wanted to do this, not just making an offer that he never intended to follow through with. From wikipedia: Government agents entrapped him if three conditions are fulfilled: 1. The idea for committing the crime came from the government agents and not from the person accused of the crime. 2. Government agents then persuaded or talked the person into committing the crime. Simply giving him the opportunity to commit the crime is not the same as persuading him to commit the crime. 3. The person was not ready and willing to commit the crime before the government agents spoke with him. On the issue of entrapment, the government must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was not entrapped by government agents.
