So I really think this girl is attractive, I would love to go out and get a few drinks with her and after that who knows... but EW, no way am I going to let her use my headphones, earwax is gross! WTF?
I've actually started doing this with one TV series (Grey's Anatomy) just to try it. I started watching the show during the second season so I went and bought the first season on iTunes. So there are people who do it, but I certainly wouldn't even say that's 10% of MY TV viewing time.
10% of us are watching these shows "outside of the home" (I assume they mean on the iPod as opposed to tv)? That number seems ridiculously high to me, does iTunes even have 10% of music sales yet? And even if it's true, iTunes sales are easy as pie to track. This article is crap.
Agreedm the title is misleading. They only "used targetted advertising" in the sense that they were using the same technology they use to send targetted ads, namely IP mapping. As the parents stated, this technology is not strictly related to targetted ads.
Oh and Take-Two interactive is a poor little independant publisher? I don't think so, this has nothing to do with influence. Wal-Mart is probably one of the only retailers out there who cares about the age limits on M rated games, and a game from Take-Two certainly has a higher chance of landing that rating than a game from Disney. Call it censorship, call it ridiculous, but don't call it favoritism.
I never said it was a good thing, but in any project there are going to be bugs. Discarding a $170 million project as "useless" because there are bugs seems kind of silly.
If this software system runs under Windows, they started with a Problem Report baseline in the thousands. If they got it down into the hundreds, Kudos!
This is modded funny but I seriously agree. What perfect world is this guy living in? I've seen software that doesn't even GET tested before it starts shipping.
'A month before delivery, you don't have SPRs,' Azmi said. 'You're making things pretty. . . . You're changing colors.'"
I agree. How does it benefit Bush or Blair to create a situation where people who are opposed to their policies, for whatever reason, are going to cry conspiracy? Do you really think a man like Bush has the intellect to decieve an entire nation? Why wouldn't they find loners and steriotypical suspects to make their scapegoats, if that was really what they were doing? An interesting read, but what makes Craig Ramsey any more trustworthy than any other media?
So, in other words, STFU because you're either ignorant or trolling.
Yeah, it has a footpedal doofus! That's completely different!
Actually they discussed several things, including using a foot pedal, and a crank on the external power supply (as opposed to the original design connected directly to the laptop), but they don't appear to have made a decision. The picture in the FA shows a hand crank. But surely you wouldn't have called someone ignorant without doing a little research; what did they end up using for these laptops in Thailand?
I use the number pad (for numbers) all the time. Why do we need two sets of arrows right next to each other? Never, ever, have I gone to hit an arrow over there and said, "Oh dammit, the num lock is turned ON again!"
Haha, holy crap, I should not laugh that hard at work. Well done!

I can play a handful of songs, and feel confident playing in a group or in front of other people. Not great and certainly not an expert but I see the improvement. It takes a long time practicing anything before you can reproduce the works of people who have already done all the practicing.

It took me over 3 years to become anywhere decent at the guitar. With prior musical training (on the trumpet). The article says 10 years, not one.

You aren't practicing the actual skills. Does the article say anything about learning the history of chess, focussing on how the pieces move, etc? Completely missed the point.
But, do you have to be a master to write a symphony? I think not. Was Mozart's first symphony his best? Was it remarkable, if you ignore the fact that it was written by a child? Surely his musical skills were far beyond a normal child his age, but he studied far more than any normal child his age.
LOL, what are they supposed to do, give you five free blanks with every movie you buy, in case you're ambitious enough (and disaster-prone) to legitimately need five backups?
Wake up, we're witnessing reverse evolution! No water allowed on the airplane, please remove your shoes and stand in line for two hours. These policies are getting dumber every day! And you want to read about mice...

He's just a perfectionist and doesn't want to throw in the latest bells and whistles until he feels it is ready for your everyday user to consume.
So that's why iTunes 7 works so flawlessly!

If you have something to hide, don't put it on the internet! Yes, that includes emailing random people on craigslist!
Simple enough.

Homer: Ah ha! I've got it! Brain, how can I ever thank you? Brain: Just don't bump me on your way out of the car. *bump* Homer: Sorry.
Well they would have to go pick up the game at some point, and then their little scam would be exposed.

He's got it all backwards!
O RLY?
-1 redundant.
Haha what? I'm so confused. Who would fly on the sodium plane?

I'm looking at my keyboard and trying to decide how insert could be put further out of the way. It annoys me too but it's my own fault.
