    Much as I'm loath to admit it, the best mouse I've ever owned was manufactured by Microsoft.

    Doesn't Logitech actually make the Microsoft-branded mice for them, though? I mean, yes, it's Microsoft-designed and branded, but I thought manufacturing was done by Logitech (or so I've heard).

    Interestingly enough... to date, they have only detected MS based viruses.

    When I ran a lab of Macs several years ago, we ran AV software on all the machines. It was mostly there to strip out the Word macro viruses that students would bring in from their home computers. I'm not aware of the software catching any viruses that could actually have done anything to the machines themselves.

    I wouldn't say that it's 'obvious' that eating food that isn't really nutritious could be related to Alzheimer's. However, I would say that I wouldn't particularly be 'surprised' to learn that it might be. That said, at this point it appears that there may be a link between the two, but that there's nothing absolutely definitive.

    18% of audiophiles were surprised that they could tell no difference between sound coming through standard 18 gauge wiring and sound coming through $200 per foot premium cables. The other 82% of audiophiles distinctly heard the difference. However, it turns out that the engineers performing the test forgot to actually switch over from the cheap ones to the expensive ones so both tests were on the same cheap wires.

    Man, those engineers were morons...

    Yes, but TFA states this will happen indirectly. They are not talking about looking up your credit history and deciding which ads to push to you, but rather one partnership is going to use the credit history to decide which shows people in different income brackets tend to watch, and it is this information is going to be used by google to decide upon which adverts go with which shows.

    Oh, I get it. They're synergistically leveraging their core competencies to alleviate market deficits of cross-sectionalized yield-based advertisorial programming. Why didn't someone just say so?
