Sounds like a nice prediction (not saying anything about its accuracy), but as someone who recently purchased an ebook reader, I don't think I could ever go back to anything but an e-ink screen for long-term reading (though we'll have to see how the Pixel Qi screens are). Being able to read 3 or 4 books without having to think about plugging the device in to recharge is a godsend!

Yeah, this. And while we're at it the entire premise is ridiculous because if you're capable of reading google maps you can read a normal map. I've yet to meet anyone, anywhere, that couldn't read a map that had a legend on it for whatever odd choice of symbols it used.

Hehehe. Either you're going on their word that "Yeah, I know how to read a map" or you haven't actually had them try to do anything even slightly complicated with one. Street maps are about the simplest maps there are and many people have a hard time reading those. Try taking any group of people into a field with a map and compass and ask them "Where are we?" I can guarantee that only maybe 1 in 5 will actually be able to get you in the general ballpark. And being able to do that is considered having the most rudimentary of map skills.

I'm curious to know why you say this. I have both a Yahoo and gMail account and for both, equal amounts of spam make it into my inbox (which is maybe one message every 3 or 4 months). Both seem to have very good anti-spam technology to me. Now Hotmail, I have no idea about since I stopped using them about 8 or 9 years ago.

Personally, while I enjoy a challenge, I don't enjoy playing the same level for hours on end, and never getting any further. I'll be using the "I'm bored, please let me play the next bit" button sometimes.

Exactly. There was one of the Metroid Prime games where I got to one of the bosses and I had a bitch of a time fighting it. Never did beat it. I spent several hours going through the same routine of reloading the game, skipping the cutscene, finding the boss, skipping the next cutscene, starting the battle (this process of just getting to the start of the fight took something like 7 minutes IIRC), fighting for a few minutes, getting my ass wiped all over the floor, lather, rinse, repeat. I eventually just gave up. It's a shame too, cos I really liked the game. But putting one part in there that I couldn't get passed ruined the experience for me. Honestly, I think the best approach is the one where after 3 or 5 failed attempts, the game gives you an option to scale back the difficulty for that fight.
