Why am I not surprised that whoever wrote that article apparently has problems counting? I see two lines on which to supply the requested information, not three.
I read this as Bezos saying that they'll support Amazon Kindle ebooks on other "mobile" platforms (a la various smartphones, etc), but that they won't support them on anything that is a direct competitor (a la E Ink-based reader devices) to the Kindle. This view is totally consistent with the words he said.
Does anyone have any info yet about what is going to be done about buying UMD games and movies in stores and getting them onto the PSP Go?
No info on that. But apparently from this point going forward, any new PSP game that's available as a UMD will also be available as a download. I'm sure a decent portion of the back catalog will get moved online also.
Exactly, I want me a PSP 2000 or 3000. Only one reason Tekken 5 & 6.
But at least those are not 250$, jebus cripes, I really dislike Sony and there constant overpricing of things.
Just got me a PSP 2000 for $120 from Dell the other day (seemed like a reasonable price to me). Showed up yesterday. But since I don't have a Memory Stick for it yet (waiting on a MicroSD->MSPro adapter from dealextreme), the only thing I can do with it is use Remote Play with my PS3. But that in itself looks like it'll be a really handy feature (nice to be able to control the tunes without needing to have the TV on).
Anyone have any suggestions for a few games I should get for it? It looks like the FW hacks for the most recent HW revisions are still in early stages at this point. Maybe I'll go down that road in another month or two...
It's almost always the PHB or CEO who has been sold on it because he went to a big conference and they had a Windows 7 booth that gave him a free light up pen.
That gives me an idea. We should set up a Linux light-up pen giveaway program. The pens will come disassembled in the package, and there will be no instructions on how to put it together. Oh, and the package will include the wrong size batteries. We can also include a little fold-up card that says "Open and read only as a last resort" on the outside. And when they finally give in and open the card, it will say "Figure it out yourself, noob! It's only a pen!" That's a surefire way of giving PHBs and other management the "true" Linux experience. : p
All the people who used to work on these great games left LucasArts. I very much prefer to have a game developed by people with experience and emotional attachment to the previous ones.
Very true. And didn't most of those people go on to form TellTale Games? So with TellTale developing this, aren't you getting exactly what you want?
But giving money back on "great products?" Is that like discounts on MS software, or some other silly gimmick? Smells faintly like desperation, that does. I guess we'll see.
It's called Live Search Cashback at the moment. That's the only time I've used Live Search. Last fall I bought $1600 bucks worth of stuff for $1200 thanks to 25% cashback on eBay "buy it now" purchases. If MS wants to help me buy expensive stuff, then more power to them. But yeah, it absolutely reeks of desperation on their part.
And then chomp down on a big banger while saluting a picture of the queen to let them know how much you love England.
That action does sound very, uhhhh, "British". ; )
Then maybe he should have posted his comment in response to that post, as opposed to the one simply asking if the game was any good, genius!
Wow, the bashing didn't take long.
So simply asking whether a game is any fun is considered "bashing"?!? Sounds like you have a slight persecution complex.
It helps to move on to page 2 of the article.

...is anonymous commenting still worth it, or is it just too risky for the board owners?
Absolutely!
Posting AC so they don't find out who I am.
And yet I never got one of these calls on my cell, my landline, or my work phone (all 202).
Fuck you, asshole!
Let me know when I can friend Mr. Freckles on Facebook.
However I looked in the Apple store and the 17" isn't even there, just the 13" and 15" are listed. I even searched the store and didn't find it.
Shows up fine for me. It's to the right of the 15"s when you click on MacBook Pro.
The $99 phone is the big news the rest of it is just nice.
Because saving a hundred bucks off the ~$1700 total is such a bargain?
iEye, Cap'n!

Touché.

This all leaves us in the same place we were in February—"with a slew of accusations, a handful of denials, and zero evidence.
Wait a second. Are we talking about the TechCrunch accusations or the RIAA's lawsuits here?

Wow, where did THAT hour go?....
It clearly went into some sort of timewarp where an hour now equals 15 minutes...

(Score:5, Closer to the truth than we want to admit)
Understand why Apple carefully picks the term "Photocopier" when talks about Redmond?
Cos they realize calling it a Xerox machine goes into all sortsa places Apple doesn't want to go. : p
I got this abacus here that's at least a couple hundred years old. Amazingly, it still calculates just as well as it did when it was first made....

Yeah, cos my mentioning that he might have it tattooed on him indicates that I have no understanding of the joke here....
